The pastor almost called the police on me during confession.

I’m not joking.
I didn’t do anything bad.
It was because I told the truth.

I went for confession thinking I would feel lighter after.
So I spoke honestly.
No pretending.

When I finished, the pastor paused.
Then he told the ushers,

Please hold her down until the police arrive.

Everyone laughed.
I laughed too.

But deep down, something clicked.

People react strongly when you tell the truth.
Not because it’s wrong,
but because it’s rare.

Most people hide parts of themselves.
Especially online.
Especially on LinkedIn.

Honesty feels risky.
But it’s also powerful.

That day reminded me of something I still carry into my work today:

→ When you speak from a real place, people listen.
→ When you show up as yourself, people remember you.

truth connects faster than perfection.

This is where many people miss it with personal branding.

I cut my finger and cooking came to an end.

I went to the market to buy things to cook soup.

At the vegetable stand, one woman caught my attention.

She wasn’t just selling vegetables.
She was cutting them fast, neat, and with confidence.

My eyes couldn’t leave her hands.
I bought from her and walked home, still thinking about how smooth she made it look.

When I got home, I tried to do the same thing.

Same vegetables.
Different result.
I cut my finger.

Cooking stopped immediately.

That day taught me a lesson I still carry on LinkedIn today

Watching success is not the same as earning it.

Many people are

Hungry for money.
Hungry for clients.
Hungry for results.

But hunger alone is not enough.

If you don’t learn the skill,

Desperation makes scams look like blessings

I had an interesting experience today.
I want to share it so you don’t fall for the same scam.

This morning, I checked my inbox as usual.
Then I saw a job offer.

It looked professional.
But something felt off.

First red flag:
The message came from someone I know on LinkedIn.
But the email address did not match the company’s real email.

Second red flag:
The message started with “Hello”.
Not “Hello Sandra.”
That felt too general.

Final red flag:
They asked me to fill a form using a link.

I didn’t click it.

Instead, I contacted the company directly.
Turns out the account was hacked.

Here are simple tips to stay safe:

→ Always double-check job offers
→ Look closely at the email address
→ Make sure your name is mentioned
→ Be careful with links

If it’s real, they will contact you properly.

I know you need a job.
But the job meant for you will not stress you.

A lot of accountability advice won’t work for creators (especially if you're just starting out).

My fellow creator, you might think you need more focus, or yet another posting challenge.

But it’s not about lack of effort.
It’s about not knowing where you’re headed.

I’ve been there before, thinking accountability was the answer. I even had someone checking in on me.

But I was still getting nowhere.
Still overthinking every post.
Still unsure of what to say.

The real issue wasn’t motivation. It was clarity. Clarity about who I am, clarity about what I stand for, and clarity on the message I want to share.

Once I had that, I stopped needing extra pushes.
That single act made LinkedIn feel like a place to grow, not just a platform to post on.

→ And doubt showed up more than I expected

So I changed how I showed up.

I stopped trying to convince everyone.
I focused on doing the work and staying consistent.

Now I:

Educate when I can
Lead by example
Celebrate small wins

The result?

People started listening
Impact became visible
My purpose felt clearer

Sustainability is not about speed.
