Look what life on the road does to you. I'm a pretty happy mess in some of these pictures... and now back to life on LinkedIn 🤪 

A year ago I closed Groove, packed a van, and drove from Virginia to San Francisco for the summer with my wife Miri.

No real plan. We wanted to explore the Rockies from New Mexico to Jasper, spend time in nature, and give ourselves some space to become curious again.

Some things that really help with that:
🏔️ Getting stuck in unexpected snowfields in the Teton Mountains in June
🧊 Glaciers and the rawness of creation up close on the Icefields Parkway between Banff and Jasper
🌲 Making friends with some very old trees — old-growth cedar and redwoods in Pacific Northwest rainforests
♨️ Hot springs only accessible by boat on the Pacific Ocean
💻 Learning to work from rest stops and campgrounds
🤠 A rodeo in deep Montana that I was not prepared for
🐻 Encounters with grizzly bears in the wild in Glacier National Park
👋 Incredible friendships with people new and old that we met along the way
🐋 Finding elusive Orcas and whales off the coast of Vancouver Island
🛣️ A lot of long stretches where the only thing to do was sit with the questions that need space and time
🕯️ Rediscovering Shabbat in nature as a way to create cadence when you're constantly moving, and a stillness for connection with ourselves, each other,  the world around us and the divine.

It was one of the hardest and most clarifying stretches of my life. The best adventure so far with Miri, amazing for our marriage. I came out the other side in a new city, with real curiosity again, and a much clearer sense of what I want to build next.

Since then I've started something new that I'm truly excited about. More on that very soon.
