I've been an entrepreneur for as long as I can remember. 

In 1989, my family and I escaped a war torn Iran to a refugee camp in Erlangen, Germany. That's when I got my first entrepreneur gig. I negotiated with the owner of a local swimming pool to get paid 10 Pfennig per beer bottle I brought back to the owner, as a way of cleaning up after people who were getting drunk by the pool. 

In my 20's, after honorably discharging from the US Army at the 101st Airborne division, I got into financial services with Morgan Stanley Dean Witter a day before 9/11. I went from a regular advisor to running a multi million dollar a year business by 2009 with Transamerica. That's when I decided to start a financial firm, marketing retirement and life insurance products to families. With our unique marketing approach, we've now grown from 66 agents out of one office in Northridge, California to over 12,000 agents in nearly 49 states. 

My passions are reading books, politics, philosophy and startup entrepreneurship. 

I'm the host of "Valuetainment", the #1 channel on youtube for Entrepreneurs with 1.7 million subscribers with a few billion minutes watched.

I have just completed the authorised the biography of the Chairperson Emeritus

I have been commissioned to write the biography of the Chairperson Emeritus, Shirin Paul. 
This has involved independent research in which I was able to get very important information on her very impressive lineage, which in the dislocation from Sindh to India during the time of partition, she  was actually unaware of; I also did interviews with Mrs. Paul, every member of her family, business associates and friends. 
It has been an exciting and memorable journey.

Creative Content : Responsible for creating and managing content for Savvy, Society, Health and Nutrition, Savvy Cookbook, Society Interiors, etc. 
Directed photo-shoots in co-ordination with Calcutta’s top photographers.
Managed the budget for editorial activities.
Created and maintained relationships with leading hotels, hospitals and media people for taking the Magna Group’s interests forward.
Some highlights from this period include hosting a multi sensory food quiz in association with the Taj Bengal, Kolkata to promote Savvy Cookbook. I conceptualised the quiz, wrote all the questions, selcted suitable slides and finally compered it. It received enormous coverage in the national media.

I researched the family, and explored how long working hours affected fathers. I carried out personal interviews with experts in the field of the family, senior journalists, and others who were relevant to this subject.

I wrote copy for ads both for print and audio visual media; 
I wrote the copy for the corporate ads released on the occasion of J. Walter Thompson ( then HTA's)  60th anniversary celebrations, and also conducted interviews with leading advertising professionals for a book on HTA. 
I wrote a book on hair and beauty, and also wrote the script for a 20 miniute documentary on the subject for a major client. In addition, I created an advisory booklet for consumers in which common problems on hair care were addressed.
I also created regular inputs to boost morale and increase camaraderie for an MNC client by using material from archival corporate history.
