Exited the company in June 2018 following acquisition.

Global manufacturer of high-end motor scooters and motorcycles with a portfolio of several brands (i.e. Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, Piaggio, etc.) including the world famous brand of Vespa motor scooters. Major accomplishments include completing a successful turnaround and $1.5B IPO, resulting in a 2.5x cash-on-cash return for investors at IPO price and an additional 50%+ share price increase in the 12 months following the IPO. Main areas of personal contribution included  developing the global product strategy for the scooter business unit, leading the global launch of the MP3 product line (the first motor scooter with 2 wheels in the front), leading the re-organization and development of sales and operations in the Americas region that resulted in a 3x revenue increase over a four-year period, and starting sales and marketing activities in the Vietnamese market.

Editorial Intern

I am a former journalist with more than three decades of editorial experience working mostly in the motorcycle industry. I spent 29 years as an editor for Cycle World magazine, authoring and editing comparisons, features, road tests and assigned departments for print and web publication. 

From 2015 to 2017, I created and published content for MotoAmerica, the AMA/FIM-sanctioned professional motorcycle road racing series for which the Bonnier Motorcycle Group was the media partner. I also produced the annual season guide.

I later oversaw daily production for 11 Bonnier Corp. web properties: ATV Rider, Baggers, Cycle World, Dirt Rider, Hot Bike, Motorcycle Cruiser, Motorcyclist, Sport Rider, Street Chopper, Super Streetbike and UTV Driver. I managed a 19-member staff and more than 40 freelancers.

As in-market director, I was responsible for the motorcycle buyer's guide and affiliate/shared content. I continued to report on domestic and international competition, including MotoGP, World Superbike, MotoAmerica and American Flat Track.

From 2020 to 2021, I served as director of communications for the American Motorcyclist Association. I led a small staff that created editorial content for 210,000 members. In addition to a monthly print magazine, we produced e-newsletters, press releases and initiated website redesigns.
