"Paolo, ma hai un lavoro vero o no?"

BOOM. Eccolo lì.

Il "lavoro vero" secondo la generazione dei miei.

Quello con:
- Il cartellino da timbrare
- La scrivania fissa
- Lo stipendio il 27 del mese
- Il capo che ti controlla

Provo a spiegare:

"Papà, ho 10 persone che lavorano per me."

"Ah bene! Dove avete l'ufficio?"

"Non abbiamo un ufficio. Lavoriamo da remoto."

"Come da remoto?"

"Ognuno da casa sua. Io spesso dalla spiaggia."

Silenzio. Sguardo preoccupato.

"Paolo, ma è legale?"

Certo che è legale...

È più che legale. È il futuro.

Ma come glielo spieghi che:

- Fatturiamo €350K senza un ufficio
- I miei SDR lavorano da 4 paesi diversi
- Faccio meeting con Fortune 500 in costume da bagno
- Lavoro 4 ore al giorno e guadagno più del "figlio della Maria"

Non puoi.

Perché per loro il successo è:

"Mio figlio lavora in Deloitte."
"Ha un contratto indeterminato."
"Va in ufficio in giacca e cravatta."

Non:

"Mio figlio ha costruito un'azienda."
"Dà lavoro a 10 persone."
"È libero di lavorare da dove vuole."

La conversazione finisce sempre uguale:

"Vabbè Paolo, l'importante è che stai bene. Ma quando ti sistemi?"

Sistemarmi.

Come se costruire OutboundHub fosse un passatempo.
Come se dare lavoro a 10 persone fosse un hobby.
Come se fatturare quanto un dirigente fosse "non sistemarsi".

Real talk:

Non biasimo mio padre.

Viene da un mondo dove:

Ma quel mondo è morto.

Oggi la sicurezza è saper creare valore.
Non avere un badge aziendale.

Il successo è la libertà di scegliere.
Non la schiavitù del cartellino.

Eppure ogni Natale riprovo.

"Papà, quest'anno OutboundHub ha chiuso contratti con..."

"Sì sì, bello. Ma la pensione come la fai?"

Un giorno capirà.

Forse quando comprerò casa cash.
Forse quando lo porterò in vacanza in Alaska.
Forse mai.

Ma va bene così.

Non costruisco OutboundHub per l'approvazione di nessuno.

La costruisco per dimostrare che il "lavoro vero" del 2025 non è quello che loro immaginano.

È quello che noi creiamo.

P.S. - Se anche tu a Natale devi spiegare che "sì, è un lavoro vero anche se non timbri il cartellino", non sei solo. Siamo una generazione intera che sta ridefinendo cosa significa lavorare. E vincere.

Ho appena chiuso con una SaaS italiana da €20M ARR.

Ma non per i motivi che pensi.

Parlo col VP of Global Sales. Mi racconta che da quando hanno chiuso il round di Serie A tutto è cambiato.

"In che senso?"

"L'atmosfera è diversa. Il management ha quintuplicato i target. Ci controllano le pause pranzo. Monitorano ogni singola metrica. Tutti i santi giorni."

"Perché pensi stia succedendo?"

"Gli investitori hanno dato una deadline alla C-Suite. O ci portate traction, o siete all'asciutto."

BOOM. Ecco cosa succede quando prendi soldi da chi non capisce il sales.

Real talk:

Ho visto questo pattern decine di volte.

Round chiuso.
Champagne.
Poi il panico.

La C-Suite ha promesso numeri impossibili per prendere i soldi.

Ora deve consegnarli.

E cosa fa? Scarica la pressione sul team sales.

Target x5.
Micromanagement estremo.
Report ogni 3 ore.
"Perché non hai chiuso quel deal?"

Il risultato?

I migliori se ne vanno.
I mediocri restano (perché non hanno alternative).
La cultura muore.
I numeri peggiorano.

No shit, Sherlock.

I venditori bravi non lavorano sotto pressione tossica.

Lavorano dove possono performare.

Allora gli ho detto:

"E se invece di spremere il team, aggiungessi pipeline senza assumere nessuno?"

Silenzio.

"In che senso?"

"Un team SDR esterno che genera meeting qualificati. Il tuo team interno si concentra solo sul closing. Zero pressione sulle cold call. Zero hiring. Risultati dal mese 1."

"Ma gli investitori vogliono vedere crescita interna..."

"Gli investitori vogliono vedere numeri. Non gliene frega niente se i meeting li genera il tuo team o il mio. Vogliono pipeline. Vogliono revenue. Vogliono traction."

Due settimane dopo, abbiamo iniziato.

Il team interno? Respira.
La pipeline? Raddoppiata.
Gli investitori? Finalmente zitti.

La verità che nessuno dice ai founder post-round:

Non devi spremere il team per fare i numeri.

Devi trovare chi ti porta i numeri mentre proteggi il team.

Ancora convinto che più pressione = più risultati?

La pressione distrugge.

La pipeline costruisce.

Scrivimi 'SERIE A' se hai chiuso un round e gli investitori ti stanno col fiato sul collo.

Ma solo se sei pronto a smettere di distruggere il tuo team.

📞 Il telefono non è morto. Ma le aziende che distruggono i team sales per compiacere gli investitori? Quelle sì che sono morte, solo che non lo sanno ancora.

Dopo 7 anni di vendita software e più di 3000 demo ho capito la vera ragione per cui le aziende software non scalano.

Non è il prodotto.
Non è il pricing.
Non è il mercato.

È il founder che fa il venditore.

La settimana scorsa, call con un CEO di una SaaS da €2M ARR.

"Paolo, faccio ancora io tutte le demo. 15 a settimana."

"Da quanto?"

"3 anni."

"E il team sales?"

"Ho provato. Non funzionano come me."

BOOM. Ecco il collo di bottiglia che nessuno ammette.

Real talk:

In 3000 demo ho visto lo stesso pattern decine di volte.

Founder brillante.
Prodotto solido.
Market fit validato.
Revenue bloccata.

Perché?

Perché il founder è diventato il miglior venditore dell'azienda.

E il miglior venditore dell'azienda non può essere il CEO.

La matematica è spietata:

1 founder = max 20 demo a settimana
20 demo = 5 deal chiusi (se va bene)
5 deal = €50K MRR

Ceiling raggiunto.

E mentre fai demo, chi fa:
- Strategia?
- Prodotto?
- Hiring?
- Partnership?

Nessuno.

"Ma Paolo, i venditori che assumo non chiudono come me!"

No shit, Sherlock.

Non chiudono come te perché:

1. Li assumi sbagliati (junior senza esperienza nel tuo verticale)
2. Non gli dai un processo (si aspettano che improvvisino come te)
3. Li molli dopo 2 mesi (servono 6 mesi per vedere risultati)
4. Non accetti che chiuderanno al 70% della tua efficacia

E quel 70% è tutto quello che ti serve.

Perché 3 venditori al 70% = 210% di te.

Mentre tu torni a fare il CEO.

Un founder mi ha detto il mese scorso:

"Ho paura che rovinino le relazioni coi clienti."

Le stai già rovinando tu.

Ogni demo che fai è una demo che non dovresti fare.
Ogni deal che chiudi è un deal che ti tiene piccolo.
Ogni "solo io posso farlo" è una catena che ti lega.

I founder che scalano non vendono.

Costruiscono macchine che vendono.

Quelli che non scalano?

Sono ancora lì.

A fare la demo numero 3001.

Convinti di essere indispensabili.

Mentre l'azienda muore di fame.

Ancora convinto che nessuno può vendere come te?

Hai ragione.

E per questo non scalerai mai.

📞 Il telefono non è morto. Ma il founder che risponde a tutte le chiamate? Quello sì che è un business morto che cammina.

Da piccolo volevo fare l'ingegnere aerospaziale.

Oggi aiuto aziende software a vendere 10x.

Ecco cosa è andato "storto".

2008: Affascinato dalla NASA e dallo spazio. Passavo le notti a guardare documentari sui razzi.

2012: Capisco che fisicamente non sono tagliato per l'astronauta. Troppo basso . Vista non perfetta. Sogno infranto a 12 anni.

2018: Mi iscrivo in una delle università più prestigiose d'Olanda per ingegneria aerospaziale. "Ce l'ho fatta."

2019: Dopo 5 mesi, mollo tutto.

"Paolo, sei pazzo? Hai lasciato una delle migliori università d'Europa!"

No. Ho capito che stavo inseguendo il sogno di un bambino, non quello di un adulto.

Cosa non sopportavo di ingegneria:

Troppi calcoli. Ma davvero troppi.
Troppo CAD. Ero e sono scarsissimo.
6 anni di studio per poi fare il dipendente.
Lavoro rinchiuso in un ufficio a guardare uno schermo.

Real talk:

Non ero fatto per stare zitto a fare equazioni.

Ero fatto per parlare con le persone.

Per convincere.

Per vendere.

Oggi parlo con centinaia di persone da tutto il mondo.

CEO, VP Sales, founder.

Li aiuto a costruire strategie commerciali che funzionano.

Zero CAD.
Zero calcoli.
100% relazioni.

Il bambino del 2008 sarebbe deluso?

Forse.

Ma l'adulto del 2025 è felice.

Perché ho capito una cosa:

Il fallimento non esiste.

Esiste solo la redirezione.

Ogni "no" ti avvicina al "sì" giusto.

Ogni porta chiusa ti spinge verso quella aperta.

Ogni sogno abbandonato fa spazio a quello vero.

Ancora convinto che mollare sia fallire?

Mollare la cosa sbagliata è la decisione più intelligente che puoi prendere.

Ricevo 1 lead inbound al giorno da SaaS italiane.

TUTTI commettono lo stesso errore gravissimo.

"Paolo, ci servono più meeting."

"Quanti ne avete al mese?"

"15-20."

"E quanti chiudete?"

Silenzio.

"Uno. Forse due."

BOOM. Ecco il problema.

Non avete un problema di lead.

Avete un problema di conversione.

È come avere un secchio bucato e chiedere più acqua.

Puoi riempirlo quanto vuoi.

L'acqua esce comunque.

Ieri un founder, €3M ARR:

"Vogliamo raddoppiare i meeting."

"Perché?"

"Per crescere!"

"Ma chiudete il 5% dei meeting attuali..."

"Sì, ma con più meeting..."

No shit, Sherlock.

Con più meeting avrai più meeting persi.

Non più clienti.

Real talk:

Il 90% delle SaaS italiane che mi contattano pensa di avere un problema di pipeline.

In realtà hanno:
- Demo senza struttura
- Discovery inesistente
- Pricing confuso
- Follow-up assente
- Sales process che non esiste

Ma vogliono "più meeting".

È come comprare una Ferrari con le gomme bucate.

Vai veloce verso il disastro.

Un cliente mi ha detto il mese scorso:

"Da quando abbiamo più meeting, perdiamo più soldi."

Ovvio.

Ogni meeting costa:
- Tempo del founder
- Costo opportunità
- Energia del team

Se non converti, stai pagando per fallire più velocemente.

La soluzione?

Prima sistema il processo di vendita.
POI scala i meeting.

Non il contrario.

Ancora convinto che ti servano più lead?

Non ti servono più opportunità.

Ti serve imparare a chiudere quelle che hai.

Mandami una richiesta di connessione e commenta 'DISCOVERY' e ti mostro il processo che utilizziamo per aumentare le conversioni dal 5% al 25%.

Da 6 a 13 meeting enterprise al mese.

Stesso SDR. Stesso mercato. Stesso prodotto.

Cosa è cambiato? Lo script.

Il mese scorso, un cliente enterprise SaaS per l'e-commerce mi chiama frustrato.

"Paolo, il mio SDR fa 50 chiamate al giorno. 6 meeting al mese. Non capisco."

"Mandami lo script."

Lo leggo.

BOOM. Ecco il problema.

Lo script PRIMA:

"Buongiorno, sono Marco di [Azienda]. Siamo leader nel settore e-commerce con una piattaforma che offre integrazione omnichannel, analytics avanzati e automazione del customer journey..."

Traduzione: "Ciao, ti parlo di me per 2 minuti mentre tu cerchi una scusa per riattaccare."

Real talk:

Il 90% degli SDR fa questo errore.

Parte dal prodotto.
Elenca feature.
Spera che qualcosa risuoni.

Non funziona.

Perché ai decision maker non frega niente delle tue feature.

Gli frega dei loro problemi.

Lo script DOPO:

"Buongiorno, parlo con altri Head of E-commerce e mi dicono che stanno lottando con [problema specifico del settore]. È qualcosa che state vedendo anche voi?"

Stop.

Silenzio.

Lascia parlare loro.

La differenza?

Prima: Tu parli, loro pensano a come liberarsi di te.
Dopo: Tu chiedi, loro si sentono capiti.

Risultato dopo 30 giorni:

6 meeting → 13 meeting.
Stesso SDR.
Stesso numero di chiamate.
+117% di booking rate.

La matematica è brutale:

Script product-centric: 6 meeting/mese
Script problem-based: 13 meeting/mese

Moltiplica per 12 mesi.

Sono 84 meeting in più all'anno.

Con un ACV medio di €30K?

€2.5M di pipeline aggiuntiva.

Solo cambiando come apri la chiamata.

No shit, Sherlock.

Non servono più SDR.
Non serve più budget.
Non servono tool magici.

Serve capire che le persone comprano soluzioni ai loro problemi.

Non feature che non hanno chiesto.

Noi portiamo 10-15 meeting enterprise al mese per SDR.

Non perché siamo più bravi a chiamare.

Ma perché partiamo sempre dal problema del prospect.

Mai dal prodotto del cliente.

Ancora convinto che il tuo script funzioni?

Se non parte da un problema specifico del tuo ICP, non funziona.

Sta solo bruciando lead.

Mi sono bastate per capire cosa voglio davvero fare con la mia azienda.

Durante le feste ho avuto momenti in cui pensavo: "Magari possiamo solo continuare quello che già stiamo facendo. Dopotutto stiamo facendo grandi numeri. I clienti sono contenti."

BOOM. Classico errore.

Lo stesso che vedo fare ai miei clienti ogni settimana.

Real talk:

Un imprenditore non guida l'azienda a sentimento.

Pianifica.
Esegue strategie.
Anticipa i trend.
Spegne i fuochi PRIMA che diventino incendi.

"Ma Paolo, se funziona perché cambiare?"

Perché quello che funziona oggi non funzionerà domani.

E noi abbiamo il playbook per scalare.

Ecco cosa faremo nel concreto nel 2026:

1. Raddoppiare la capacità di acquisizione
→ Assumiamo altri AE. Più closing power.

2. LinkedIn marketing per tutto il team
→ Non solo io. Tutti devono costruire personal brand.

3. Ottimizzare le finanze
→ Margini per pod. EBITDA. COS. Numeri veri, non vanity metrics.

4. Espansione ufficiale in Spagna
→ Primo mercato fuori Italia. Poi vediamo.

"Ma non hai paura di crescere troppo in fretta?"

No.

Ho paura di restare fermo mentre altri si muovono.

Ho paura di guardare indietro tra 2 anni e pensare: "Potevo farlo e non l'ho fatto."

Ho paura della comfort zone.

Perché la comfort zone è dove i business vanno a morire.

Ancora convinto che "se funziona non si tocca"?

Se funziona, è il momento perfetto per scalare.

Non quando sei in crisi.

Quando sei forte.

We’re in a season where “content that sells for you” is the promise.
 
I see it with founders and consultants every week.
 
The desire is real. The content is there. The leads exist.
 
But when you zoom in, the magic breaks in the middle:
