I flew out of the smallest airport I've ever been to this Thanksgiving.
New Haven, Connecticut.
And I found the best use of a vending machine I've ever seen.

Over the holiday, I traveled through 4 states: New Jersey, New York City, Newport, Rhode Island, and the Connecticut coastline.

Grateful for the journey. 
Grateful for the people. 
Grateful for the experiences.

But what stopped me in my tracks was this:

A vending machine. At the gate. Selling books.

Not chips. Not candy bars. Not overpriced sodas.

Books.

Here's why this matters.

Most vending machines sell you something to pass time.
This one sold you something to spend time well.

Think about it.

You're about to sit on a plane for 2 hours. Maybe more.

You could scroll. You could snack. You could zone out.

Or you could read.

Someone at that tiny airport in New Haven thought about that moment.

They asked: What do people actually need right now?

And instead of defaulting to junk food, they chose knowledge. Story. Connection.

That's thoughtful innovation.

It's not flashy. It's not complicated.
It's just someone paying attention to what serves people better.

I didn't buy a book. I had one with me. Actually, two, but who's counting.

But I stood there for a minute just appreciating it.

Because small decisions like that one add up.

They signal that someone cared enough to reimagine what a vending machine could be.

Not every innovation needs to be a breakthrough.
Sometimes it's just putting the right thing in the right place at the right time.

So here's to the person who decided to put books in that vending machine.

And here's to noticing the small, creative ideas that make life a little better.

What's a small innovation you've seen recently that made you stop and appreciate it?

I was going to write a post about Jensen Huang and how he built NVIDIA around pain tolerance.

But then I saw today’s headline:

“SoftBank sells entire NVIDIA stake for $5.83B to fund AI bets.”

And it hit me…

Jensen and his team are probably completely unfazed.

Because they’ve lived this cycle before.
Booms, busts, hype waves, crashes.
They’ve built muscle memory for volatility.

Jensen once said:
“People with very high expectations have very low resilience… and unfortunately, resilience matters in success.”

That’s why NVIDIA doesn’t flinch when others make short-term plays.
They’ve been thirty days from going out of business before.
Now, they’re the backbone of the AI revolution.

Meanwhile, SoftBank is moving money to further fund OpenAI.

Maybe they’re right. Maybe they’re early.
But there’s a difference between betting on AI and becoming essential to it.

That’s what Jensen mastered:
He didn’t just invest in the wave, he built the board.

And that’s the real lesson for founders and leaders right now:

Don’t get swept up in the next AI headline.
Build something that survives the next one.

This door changed everything.

Last week I went back to URI to speak to students.

The night before I went to the basketball game.

And I saw this door again.

Back then it didn't have the branding.
Just a door with a light on.

I was 18.
Scared.
Looking for my shot.

I walked in.
Rang a diner-style bell on the desk.
No one was there.

A woman popped out from around the corner, startled.

I now realize it was her day off.
She was probably just grabbing something quick.
And there I was an 18-year-old kid interrupting her day off.

But I didn't leave.

I asked: "Are there any opportunities in sports where I can get involved?"

That question changed my life.

She gave me a shot. She connected me with the director of basketball ops.
Soon after, I became a student manager for URI men's basketball.

4 years with the Rams.
Then 2 years at UConn as a graduate assistant.

All with Coach Hurley; learning what it takes to be a champion.

He exposed me to self-development.
Books.
Podcasts.
Personal growth.
The idea that you could design your life.

Basketball led to books.
Books led to business.
Business led to me standing in front of students last week, teaching them what I learned.

All because I walked through a door and asked.

Here's what I know:

Life doesn't hand you opportunities.
You create them.

You set a vision.
You take action.
You get in the right rooms.

You open doors.
You ring bells.

Most people wait.
They hope someone will notice them.
They think success happens to them.

It doesn't.

You make it happen.

I was an 18-year-old kid with no connections.
No resume.
No experience.

Just a question.

6 years in basketball.
5 years in business.
A full life of growth, all from one decision.

Don't wait for handouts.
Don't wait for life to happen to you.

Set the vision.
Take the action.

Ring the bell.

This week, a prospect asked me how to find speaking leads.
I told him that wasn't his problem.

Here's what actually is 👇

He came to me worried about two things: not knowing how to find leads and getting his content to resonate with the right people.

I had to be honest with him.

There is no shortage of leads.

LinkedIn alone has over 1 billion users.
The average household income? $124,000.
And compared to every other social platform, it has the fewest people posting content.

It's the least noisy platform for professionals.

So what's the real problem?

Most professionals expect the world to run to them with their credit card out.

That's not how this works.

You need to give people a reason to:
• Follow you on social
• Read your content regularly
• Connect with you privately
• Trust you enough to invest

Without that reason, they won't.
And no amount of posting will fix it.

Here's where most authors and speakers blow it.

They believe their ideas are the best thing ever.

And sure, maybe they are.

But pride doesn't connect with people.
Relatability does.

If your content is all about YOU and YOUR ideas without marrying it to a lesson the reader actually cares about, well...

They won't read it.
They won't follow you.
They won't engage.

The shift required is simple but brutal.

You have to put your pride aside.

Use your core ideas. 
Use your experiences. 
But anchor them to something the reader can apply, feel, or learn from in their own life.

Make it about them, not you.

That's the connection.

When your content speaks to the reader's problems, challenges, and outcomes...they start to trust you.

When they trust you, they follow you.
When they follow you, they reach out.
When they reach out, you close deals.

But it all starts with making your content about the READER.

Not you.

This is much easier said than done.

18 years old: Lost. Insecure. Graduated high school with a 2.8 GPA and no clue who I was. Got into college, fortunately. 

19 years old: Found identity through basketball. Still unsure of my purpose, but learning discipline, and replicating success.

24 years old: Made my first $200 through the book page. Covid hit. Left basketball for good. Moved back home with Mom. Went all in on that book page. Burned the boats on a “safe” career to chase freedom. 

25 years old: Turned that page into a business. Learned how to sell, fail, and rebuild from scratch. Made $100k. 

26 years old: Kept reading. Kept learning. More mistakes and failures but continued to grow. Said yes to a ton of opportunities. Focus was scattered. 

27 years old: Still running book promotion campaigns. Started ghostwriting for business owners on LinkedIn. Started coaching authors and coaches on scaling on Instagram.  Hit my first $30k/month.

28 years old: Still feeling scattered with focus and energy but pressing forward. Scaled to my first $40k/month. Started a podcast on book marketing and recorded 160+ episodes in one year. Leaning further into LinkedIn ghostwriting than book promotions.

This brutal truth changed everything for me…

Five years ago, I was $25K in debt with a college degree I thought would lead to my "dream job."

Everyone said "follow your passion and the money will follow."

But passion doesn't pay student loans.

Value creation does.

I didn't start my business because I was passionate about social media marketing or online courses.

I started because I saw people struggling with problems I could solve profitably.

The passion came later - after I got good at delivering results.

Here's what I learned:

• The market doesn't care about your feelings
• People pay for outcomes, not your enthusiasm
• You can develop passion for anything you master
• Skills matter more than passion when building wealth

My parents didn't open their bakery because they were passionate about bread.

Every year around this week, I watch the same pattern.

People say:

“I’ll push hard after Thanksgiving.”

Stop letting December die on you. Use it.

When I was 14, I learned a lesson about business that didn't hit me until I was running a multi-million-dollar company.

It started with a uniform. And I hated it.

I was obsessed with fashion. I lived for picking my outfit every day. 

So when I found out I had to wear the same ugly plaid skirt and stiff button-down every single day? I was mortified.

Of course, I still found ways to break the rules. Bows in my hair. Cool socks. 
Layered undershirts. Anything that made me feel like I had some autonomy.

Did I get detention? Absolutely. 

Did I care? Not even a little.

But here's where it gets interesting.

By the end of my first year, something shifted. Not having to choose an outfit every morning was quietly saving me hours per week.

No more tearing apart my closet. No more running late because I hated everything I put on. No more comparing myself to everyone else.

My brain felt lighter. My mornings felt calmer. And suddenly I had energy I didn't even know I was losing.

Years later, I understood what was really happening: Decision fatigue was draining me long before the school day even started.

That same decision fatigue almost destroyed my business.

Because in business, you're making choices every single minute. What to post. What to sell. What to respond to. What to prioritize. What to launch. What to fix.

Black Friday doesn’t have to be about buying more.

It can be the moment you finally commit to making what you already know… pay you.

"The best way to train your team is through osmosis."

A mentor told me this a few weeks ago, and it completely shifted how I think about leadership.

I took action immediately.

Here's what happened:

A few weeks ago, I made major changes to our creative strategy. New formats. New approach. New energy.

It worked. 

Our Instagram growth exploded. Everything felt alive again.

But I realized something critical... my creative team wasn't just executing the strategy. 

They needed to understand it. 

Live inside it with me.

You can't teach that on a Slack thread.

So I invited them to spend time with me in person. Not for shooting more content. Just to create together.

We sat at the same table. Worked through ideas in real time. Iterated. Built. 
Problem-solved together.

The shift was immediate.

It wasn't about what I said. It was about what they absorbed – how to move through problems, make decisions when something isn't working, pivot without panic.

That's osmosis. You can't Loom that.

Here's what this taught me about building a real business:

Personal, hands-on guidance changes everything. You can consume every course and watch every tutorial, but nothing replaces having someone in the room with you, showing you what you can't see on your own.

When my creative strategy felt flat, it wasn't a new app or trend that fixed it. It was slowing down, working directly with my team, and being willing to iterate together.

The same principle applies to your business growth.

You don't need more information. 

You need proximity to someone who's built what you're trying to build –someone who can spot your blind spots and show you the direct path forward.

Major shifts happen when you stop trying to figure everything out alone.

I used to think pricing was about the market.

Turns out, it was about me.

When I first started my business, I charged $3,000 for a high-ticket program that should've been $5,000. Then $5,000 for something worth $10,000.

I told myself I was being "accessible." That I was "building trust" with lower prices.

The truth? I was terrified they'd say no.

Here's what changed:

I started watching my clients get results. Real, measurable transformations. And I realized something uncomfortable – my pricing wasn't protecting them. It was protecting me from rejection.

Undercharging doesn't make you more appealing. It makes you forgettable.

Low prices attract people looking for deals, not transformations. And when things get hard, they're the first to quit because they never truly invested.

Premium prices demand commitment – from your clients and from you.

When I finally raised my prices to match the value I delivered, everything shifted. Better clients. Better results. Better business.

But more than that – I started showing up differently. Because when someone invests $10K, $20K, $40K with you, you don't just deliver. You overdeliver.

You become the person worthy of that investment.

Your pricing isn't just a number. It's a signal to the market about who you are and what you stand for.

If you're undercharging right now, ask yourself: Is this really about your clients? 

Or is it about the version of yourself you're not ready to step into yet?

The confidence doesn't come before the price increase. 

It comes after.

I just hosted 11 women at a Creator retreat in Costa Rica.

And it changed everything about how I’ll grow my business in 2026.

Friday, I facilitated an exercise at my retreat.

Turn to the person next to you and tell them one superpower they don't see in themselves yet.

The room went silent.

Then voices started filling the space.

"You make people feel seen..."

"Your energy is magnetic..."

"When you talk about your work, your face lights up..."

Tears. Breakthroughs. Women actually receiving compliments—something we suck at.

Then one attendee flipped it on me:

"Giulia, why do YOU want to be rich?"

I could've given the polished answer about freedom and impact.

But I didn't.

"I want to build wealth so when I become a mother in a couple years, I can be present. Not hustling as a new mom. The foundation is already built."

The energy shifted. People leaned in.

Because here's the truth nobody talks about:

Success isn't about the strategy or the content plan.

It's about building something that holds you and the life that works for you.

Before Costa Rica, I was so deep in my business I forgot—there are real humans behind the screens.

Women who trust me. Who invest in themselves. Who are building something that matters.

That's why I do this.

Not just to help people make money.

But to help them build businesses that give them abundance, freedom, and the ability to be fully themselves.

People ask me all the time: "How are you so comfortable talking about money?"

The answer is simple: I grew up around it.

My dad was an entrepreneur who ran a bakery on Long Island. Money wasn't a taboo topic in our house – it was discussed openly, practically, without shame.

When I was 7, he handed me a $20 bill and asked me to split it for two $10s from my piggy bank.

Without hesitation, I told him: "I'll do it... but only if you pay me an additional $5."

Instead of shutting me down, he smiled. He knew exactly what he was teaching me.

From that day on, he hired me at $7/hour to fold boxes at the bakery. Every week I got a little envelope with cash inside. It made me feel capable, not entitled.

That early exposure shaped everything about how I run my business today.

Here's what I've learned: Growing up around money conversations doesn't just make you comfortable with numbers. It makes you think like a business owner from Day 1.

And that's the fundamental difference I see between business owners who scale and those who plateau.

The ones who scale treat money like a skill – something you practice, refine, and get better at. They're not waiting to "feel ready" to talk about revenue. 

They understand that money is simply a tool for building the business and life they want.

If talking about money still feels awkward, that's a signal.

Not that you're doing something wrong, but that you need more practice having the conversation.

The discomfort doesn't go away by avoiding it. It goes away by doing it repeatedly until it becomes second nature.

There are two types of business owners during Black Friday:

The first one looks like this… 

They throw together a last-minute discount, blast their email list, and hope for the best. 

No strategy, just desperation. 

Your audience can feel that.

The second avoids it entirely. 

They think Black Friday will cheapen their brand or compromise their premium positioning. 

So they leave tens of thousands of dollars on the table.

Here's what they're both missing: 

Black Friday is the single highest-intent buying window of the year. People are actively looking for reasons to invest in themselves and their businesses.

After helping over 400 creators scale, I've identified what actually works – and it has nothing to do with slashing your prices.

Premium positioning during Black Friday means creating urgency without discounting.

This year, I'm running what I call the High-Ticket Bonus Strategy. 

My core offer stays full price, but Black Friday buyers receive exclusive bonuses – additional coaching access, VIP onboarding, resources that future clients won't get.

This maintains brand integrity while giving buyers a legitimate reason to act now instead of later.

What changed my approach this year? 

I used AI to build the entire campaign in one day instead of spending weeks on it. Bonus stack, email sequences, checkout copy, objection handling – all drafted and refined in hours.

But here's what matters: AI didn't replace strategy. It accelerated execution.

I still customized everything with my voice and positioning. 

AI gave me the framework. I gave it the substance.

The businesses winning on Black Friday aren't the ones discounting the most. 

They're the ones who've figured out how to create strategic urgency while maintaining their value.

If you're planning a Black Friday campaign, ask yourself: Are you creating urgency through value, or through desperation?

I’m writing this on Thanksgiving, which feels like a weird day to talk about business.

Everyone’s posting:

“Grateful for clients.”

“Grateful for my team.”

“Grateful for my business.”

Me too.

I’m insanely grateful for:

• The creators and coaches who trusted me this year
• The team that lets me build at this level
• The version of me from 3–5 years ago who refused to quit when it sucked

But here’s the honest part:

I’m also grateful I didn’t treat every holiday like a full stop.

Because the truth about entrepreneurship is this:

Your dreams don’t get holidays.

Your problems don’t get holidays.

Your pipeline doesn’t get holidays.

You don’t have to grind 24/7.

You don’t have to “work instead of being with family.”

But you do have to decide:

Am I using this season to recharge so I can move… or to hide so I can avoid moving?

If you’re a creator or coach who:

• Already has an offer or real expertise
• Knows you’re capable of more than your current income shows
• Feels that quiet “I want next year to be different” voice getting louder today

Use that.

Not to hate yourself.

Not to compare yourself.

But to choose one concrete thing you’ll do in the next 30–45 days to set up 2026.

Now let’s make sure next Thanksgiving you’re grateful for how you moved this year, not how much you waited.

I started my business at 23 years old.

And from the beginning, I heard the same advice on repeat: 

"Enjoy your 20s." 

"Don't work so hard." 

"You'll never get these years back."

People meant well. But I knew what I was building required a different approach.

While most of my peers were focused on typical early-20s priorities, I was building systems, studying business operations, and developing skills that most people don't acquire until decades into their careers.

I was working with clients twice – sometimes three times – my age.

And here's what surprised me: 

The age gap was never a disadvantage.

My best clients, the ones who invest the most and see the strongest results, often tell me they hired me specifically because of my perspective – not in spite of it.

They value the fresh approach. 

The willingness to challenge outdated systems. 

The focus on what actually works rather than what's always been done.

About ten years ago, I learned that my last name, Guerrieri, means "warrior" in Italian.

It clarified something I'd always felt but couldn't quite articulate: I've always approached business differently than most people expect.

I'm 5'1". Soft-spoken when I choose to be. On the surface, I don't fit the typical image of someone running a multi-million-dollar company.

And for a long time, I thought that was a problem.

Then I realized: Being underestimated is actually an advantage.

When people underestimate you, they're not watching closely. They're not studying your moves. They're not preparing for your next play.

By the time they realize what you're building, you're already three steps ahead.

If you've ever felt underestimated because of your age, appearance, background, or approach – understand this: That perception gap is strategic space.

Use it.

The best entrepreneurs I know don't waste energy convincing people they're capable. They just build undeniable results and let the work speak.
