Hey, I’m Oshri Cohen — Fractional CTO turned full-time tech whisperer.

I’ve spent the last 25 years immersed in engineering, and the last 15 leading brilliant (and sometimes delightfully chaotic) teams as a technical executive. From scrappy startups in healthtech and martech to 350-person research firms and Series C rocket ships, I’ve done it all: scaled orgs, refactored disasters, rescued investor confidence, and shipped things that didn’t catch fire on launch day. Wins all around.

30 companies in 4 years as a Fractional CTO? Yep. That’s not a typo. I embedded myself in each like a method actor in a startup biopic, just without the Oscar, though I’ve definitely made acceptance speeches to my dog. I solved mission-critical problems, rearchitected platforms, hired and levelled up teams, and created product strategies that actually made sense. And money.

At my core, I’m a systems thinker. Whether I’m rebuilding a microservices architecture, designing OKR cascades across dev teams, or explaining to a founder why their dev team is two PRs away from mutiny, I bring clarity, structure, and technical depth without the buzzword bingo.

Tech Stack? I could rattle off a list as long as your LinkedIn scroll: Python, Golang, React, gRPC, Kubernetes, Postgres, DDD, CQRS, EKS, Redis, you name it. But the truth is, I treat tech like tools, not religion. What matters more is why we’re building something and who we’re building it for. And how fast can we deploy without breaking production? (Or spirits.)

I help engineering orgs reach Elite DORA status in months, not years. Devs love working with me because I obsess over DX: If you can’t boot the stack with one command in under five minutes, we fix that. I also enforce quality through intelligent code review delegation and AI-assisted tooling. Let’s just say, if your platform smells like legacy spaghetti, I’ll turn it into clean lasagna.

Led a team of technology, data, and compliance experts in a project for a major corporation.  Performed a wide variety of roles, including:

1) Full time, hands-on coding and technical design, 
2) Data science and analytics,
3) Management Consulting, 
4) Project and Staff management, and 
5) Technical and non-technical documentation.  

During the course of the project, my team and I pioneered cost-effective statistical methods and novel architectures.  The systems we developed achieved the following outcomes for our client:

   1) Developed predictive financial models

   2) Separately determined the contribution of operational, configuration, and data quality issues to system performance and predictive accuracy.

   3) Developed automated, segmented global views of financial activity and risk metrics

   4) Identified critical human, organizational, systematic, and data risks that impacted system functionality

   5) Identified risk metrics that were highly correlated with (and predictive of) targeted outcomes

   6) Produced rapid findings in spite of schedule, technological, platform, and data limitations.

   7) Developed unified views of enterprise data, including operational, risk, and financial data universes.

During the pandemic I turned a hobby into the ability to print money*.   I developed data-driven algorithmic trading systems that outperformed the overall stock market.

I've held numerous technical and leadership roles spanning the divide between business and technology.  I also have served as a consultant to government agencies, financial institutions, and law firms.

My technical career followed the progression of computing and therefore includes full-stack experience at all levels, including hardware architecture and assembly code, operating systems, kernel design, performance tuning, parallelism, large scale distributed applications, financial and trading applications, blockchain, data science,  machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
