As the leader of the global technology function at Amazon Payment Services, I am both passionate about and dedicated to re-imagining digital payments for customers and merchants throughout the Middle East and Africa region. 

My responsibilities encompass tech pre-sales and solutioning, merchant integration, software development (for new and existing products), infrastructure management, technical operations, information security, and data engineering. Additionally, I oversee the technology function responsible for delivering seamless payment products and experiences for Amazon shoppers throughout MEA stores (UAE, KSA, EGY, TR and ZA). 

Together, our aim is to provide simple, affordable, and trusted payment experiences for merchants and customers across the MEA region.

Promoted to build and lead 5-member team in designing, developing, and managing decision-support application and tools for front-office trading group, integrating with trading/supply, operations, risk management, pricing/structuring, settlements organizations.

Extended inward-focused IT capabilities to external customers. Developed capabilities that underpin key business processes within the industry lifecycle including trading, scheduling, asset management and optimization, demand-side response, and settlements. 

* Challenged with building team, processes, and systems to support organic business growth into new market space with demand response management product (multi-million dollar project). 

* Leveraged technology to empower several key, new revenue streams for the business unit.

* Handpicked by senior leadership to course-correct and manage delinquent security appliances workstream of major datacenter migration that had put entire project at significant risk of missing deadlines. 

* Invited to join M&A (and other structured deal) due diligence teams after demonstrating thought leadership in both technology and operations to commercial stakeholders. 

* Updated business continuity program to eliminate operational risk from disruption to business-critical systems.

After nearly two weeks in the hospital, a little girl finally steps back into her home. She turns the handle, pushes the door open… and her siblings freeze in place.

For a heartbeat, the entire world goes quiet.

Then the emotion hits—tears, arms rushing forward, laughter breaking through the heaviness. It’s the kind of reunion that reminds us that recovery isn’t only measured by medical charts or lab results.

Healing also happens in moments like this.

Because coming home is more than entering a room. It’s stepping back into a space where you are missed, valued, and held with love—even in your weakest season.

❤️Research continues to show what many families already know in their hearts: 

emotional closeness strengthens the body. Support from loved ones calms the nervous system, steadies the mind, and helps the immune system do its job. Warm embraces and familiar voices don’t just lift spirits—they shift biology.

🌷A child sees someone struggling—and they help.

       Today I want to share a story of another great young leader. Meet Ali Hassan  a 25-year-old designer from Pakistan, whose journey is a true example of faith, resilience, and purpose. 

     Ali Hassan began as a programmer, but discovering design in 2021 changed everything. Today, he’s a UI/UX and graphic designer driven by creativity, connection, and the joy of helping others.

    Behind his success lies a deep spiritual strength. After facing mental health struggles, Ali Hassan found hope and healing in the Quran, holding close the verses: 

“Surely with hardship comes ease.” (94:6)
“And surely your Lord will give you so much that you will be pleased.” (93:5)

     Through prayer, patience, and faith, Ali rebuilt his life. His proudest moments aren’t just professional — they’re the smiles of people he’s helped without expecting anything in return. He hopes to make a real impact by giving people hope and support them as much as he can. 

Ali’s message is simple yet powerful:
