...Lazy, transactional, and void of any real care or thought.

Here’s the problem with most of what’s hitting inboxes right now:

- Random, outdated facts scraped from online sources and then stitched together into nonsense.

- Assumes the recipient is in buying mode right now. (Only 1–3% of target decision makers are in need of (fill in the blank with whatever thing) at any given time.)

- Sounds identical to every other cold pitch. 

(Side bar: I swear, if I get one more email with the subject line "Angelique <> Podcast" I'm going to hit the roof!! Actually... let's have a convo about whoever is teaching that out-of-integrity strategy for fake podcasts just to trick people into getting on zoom. Really?)

- The follow-ups never stop. And they are even more cringe than the original emails.

Worse, these outreaches riddled with mistakes — wrong names, outdated details, sloppy phrasing.

And of course when that’s the first impression, why would any decision maker trust that same company or expert whose reaching out with critical work requiring precision, attention to detail and/or judgment?

When one of the biggest business risks right now is being commoditized, it’s remarkable how many companies and experts are rushing to commoditize themselves with poor first impressions.

It's really hard to come back from that.

And they’re doing it with far too few resources and far too little recognition.

🇺🇦 Ukraine: Over 103,000 people — 90% women and girls — supported with food, trauma healing, safe spaces, legal aid, and more. Women’s CSO coalitions are advancing the national WPS agenda.
 🇸🇩 Sudan: 18 active projects delivering dignity kits, psychosocial counselling, humanitarian response, and conflict-resolution training.
 🇦🇫 Afghanistan: One of the few mechanisms still resourcing Afghan women-led CSOs — supporting earthquake recovery, protecting WHRDs, and re-operationalizing 208 women’s groups in 2024.
🌏 Myanmar: Nearly 7,000 people reached with emergency food, hygiene kits, psychosocial support, and strengthened GBV referral pathways.
 🌪️ Vanuatu (Climate): Women revitalized disaster committees in 42 remote Indigenous villages, built early-warning systems, coordinated cyclone evacuations, and now mediate water conflicts and lead climate-smart agriculture.
 🌱 Colombia (Climate): Rural and Indigenous women established 157 climate-resilient production systems and built a Family Agriculture Network improving food security.
But the challenges are urgent:
 ⚠️ 46% of women’s CSOs fear they may not survive due to lack of funding.
 ⚠️ WPHF received 14,800+ applications, funding only 32%.
 ⚠️ Global ODA fell 7% in 2024, with another 9–17% drop projected.
