This International Women’s Day, here are 5 ways you can take action to support women:

1️⃣ Support women peacebuilders. Donate to organizations like @WPHFund, which helps women lead their communities through crises and build lasting peace.

2️⃣ Buy from women-owned businesses. Look for the WBENC logo or check out directories like Buy Women Owned or Shopify’s Women-Owned Businesses.

3️⃣ Elevate women’s voices. Watch and share films, books, and stories by women creators. Visibility matters.

4️⃣ Support women candidates for office. Women currently hold just 28% of voting seats in the U.S. Congress and only 26% of parliamentary seats globally. Even more striking, only 32 women currently serve as heads of state or government across 29 countries. Backing women at every level — from local school boards to national office — helps build the pipeline of leaders who can create policies that advance equality.

5️⃣ Mentor the next generation. Volunteer with local youth to build confidence and leadership in girls.

WPHF Global Luminaries 2026 

I was reflecting this morning with a client that, two years into my business, I lost a massive client contract — one that made up a huge % of our revenue....

Up until that point, that was my BIG fear. To lose the fat contract. Then it happened. And it sucked. 

When I got the email, I was on vacay with my family in Las Vegas. We had taken my grandfather there -- he had always wanted to go. 

AND he was intent on stopping inside of EVERY single casino on the strip. Just so he could brag to his coffee buddies back home -- the guys he retired with from "The Point" (IYKYK) -- that he had been to more casinos than all of them had been, combined.  

At any rate, I remember my heart sunk when I got the email. But I decided not to let it ruin my vacation. That's easier said than done when you're staring down a massive revenue gap. 

Then again, August heat in Vegas has a way of reclaiming your focus. 

When I got back home after the trip, all my energy went into replacing that revenue in my business. And it was the best thing that could have happened. 

Had I "ridden that contract" for a few more years, my business would not have built up the client list that it did. I would not have been invited to speak at the conferences that changed the trajectory of my business. 

I wouldn't have the business I have today. And joyous moments like the one in this photo would not have happened. 

I share all of this to say this: 

Really, truly think about the thing that you're holding fear around right now -- whatever is getting in the way of your growth, personally or professionally. 

Because I promise you: If there is something that your brain is trying to avoid out of a deep fear, then it IS getting in the way. 

And then imagine for a moment that the very thing you desperately do not want to happen, DOES happen. 

Would what be all the good that would come out of it? All the doors that would open? All the ways in which it would invite you -- require you even -- to level up? To get more innovative? Creative? Tougher? 

Write it down. Shine a light on it. And invite yourself to release the fear around it.
