By reducing reliance on courts and adversarial legal processes, it makes family mediation more accessible, efficient, and effective.

CodeX, The Stanford Center for Legal Informatics

As a Codex Fellow at Stanford, I research AI-driven digital professionals—autonomous agents that enhance legal, compliance, and dispute resolution workflows. My work focuses on making legal decision-making more accessible, efficient, and trustworthy. Examples include Virtual Gabby, an AI mediator for co-parents; Product Law Coach, an AI legal coach for in-house counsel and law students; and ESI Flow, an AI-powered eDiscovery copilot. I also explore AI governance and human-AI collaboration to build trust in legal AI systems, ensuring transparency, reliability, and accountability.

Hey there! I’m Olga, and my path here wasn’t exactly linear. If you’re looking for the kind of CEO bio that starts with “I’ve always known I’d…” well, this isn’t it.

Where It All Began

My journey began in Ukraine, where I dreamed of creating beautiful things. As a kid, I thought art school would be my next big step. But life had other plans—I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area at 13, a place I call “Candy Land” for its endless opportunities. Here, I discovered that tech can be beautiful, functional, and a powerful tool for change. That discovery shaped everything I do today.

The Spark

Today, I live and breathe at the intersection of law, technology, and impact. As a CEO, I’ve led a legal tech startup (which I sold to LexisNexis) and advised Fortune 100 companies and leading tech companies on how to innovate safely and law better. I’ve been privileged to work as a General Counsel, guiding companies through IPOs, acquisitions, and complex investigations. And along the way, I’ve taught at Berkeley Law, researched at Stanford Law, prosecuted cases as a San Francisco DA, written books, spoken at top conferences, and advocated for a future where law serves people—not just systems.

Why I’m Here

In a world that sometimes feels complicated and opaque, I believe we can make law simpler, fairer, and more accessible. The rule of law should be like electricity—there to support all of us without being cumbersome or costly.

- Worked to diversify funding to include corporate donors, private foundations, and individuals outside of the legal profession.
- Secured over $100,000 in new grants to support special programs in my first year.
- Worked closely with supervisors and attorneys in programs to identify funding gaps, research appropriate grants, and secure the needed funding.
- Wrote and reported on NY State, Federal, and private foundation grants.
- Helped with an already established Capital Campaign for over $1.8 million.

• Worked with a team to produce an advocacy symposium, bringing together over 20 speakers and presenters, and 150 attendees, with a compressed planning time-frame of 3 months.
• Implemented and managed a centennial campaign with a goal of $100,000 that included monthly events, in addition to individual and corporate donors. At the 6 month mark, the campaign exceeded $65,000.
• Updated marketing materials to reach multiple audiences, with attention to brand consistency in language and graphic elements.
• Organized a celebration and press conference to honor a 100 year milestone, bringing awareness to the work done and individuals served. Attended by over 200 people, the NYS Lt. Gov. as well as several other state, local, and US political leaders. Received TV and print media coverage.

•	Increased fundraising event revenue by 25% over previous years, while keeping cost per dollar raised at $0.20 for three events, including the annual gala.
