Olena Ivashchenko

CRO Tales | Experimentation Consultant & Coach or "Co-pilot" | Treachery of Data Podcast co-founder

As an app-builder, I founded Ressada, an app that uses AI (specifically, small language models) and Python-based dataframe automations to analyse large volumes of unstructured text. This unstructured text can include anything, such as surveys and chat conversations, and can be used to extract insights for product and marketing teams.

The app includes workflows and Agents that do deep research to identify problems and user personas, as well as segment analysis.

As a fractional AI advisor, I’ve run numerous workshops to practitioners and leaders, about how to use AI effectively. I have advised on the architecture of AI-based apps, product features, and workflows. My core focus areas are: sustainability (using small, local models) and reliability (ensuring validation loops and the reliable use of AI). 

I’ve run workshops for organisations such as Eventbrite and conducted them online and at in-person events. I’ve also written numerous tutorials and recorded video guides. I’ve also co-authored an AI playbook for experimentation practitioners.

As a fractional experimentation manager, I have trained teams on all areas of the experimentation process (I have a background spanning development, user research, UX design, etc). I have also developed backlogs and built tests. I am a previous Head of Experimentation at Trainline, and helped set up the experimentation program there. 

I have judged experimentation awards at Experimentation Elite (2023, 2024, 2025) and co-host a weekly GRO Talks Roundtable event, which is like a drop-in centre for experimentation experts to discuss problems/challenges/topics.

I'm also an author of the "CRO Tales" and “Tech-bro Tales” comic series on LinkedIn; co-host of the "GRO Talks" YouTube/podcast; and co-host of the Conversion World Roundtable, which operates like a clinic, deep-diving into topics and problems related to experimentation.

The risk of using GenAI for anything creative is PRECISION.

By "creative", I mean anything that ends with a creation. So I'm including documentation, reports, articles, creative writing, art, etc. 

Now, this process of creation involves making lots of choices. (That's why you often hear some creatives commend choices.) And the risk of incorporating Generative AI into your workflow is that you end up sacrificing or sanitising those choices. 

You can also end up getting distracted by choices that Generative AI has made, and you wouldn't normally make.

This is why I mainly relegate Generative AI use to the "thinking" process, rather than the "production" process.
