🏆 I was awarded the 'Star Performer of The Quarter (Q1-2021)' award and the ‘Rookie of The Year’ award for my outstanding contribution to Cheil and the clients that I ideate and write for 
📈Took JK Tyre from 60K to 127K Instagram followers in one year thanks to carefully crafted and consistent content
🎥 I wrote the main ad film for ‘Puncture Guard’, a product from JK Tyre. It aired on television and on digital platforms (linked below)
🎯 While many other team members were down with COVID, I led the Smart Tyre Campaign for JK Tyre. Incidentally, this was the largest campaign ever undertaken by Cheil X, the non-Samsung side of the business
🍾 I was a core member of the team that pitched to ASICS and Thomson’s Q&I. Won both pitches.

Food pleases. It also angers, awes, disgusts and bores. I love food. So I decided to dip my toe in the culinary industry.

I interned in the kitchens of Hotel Delmaar, a Mediterranean casual dining kitchen. Over there, I learned how professional kitchens operate - what makes them tick and burn. 
In the kitchen, I learned: 
✔️The importance of consistency. Each dish must always taste the same. But consistency can only exist when you cultivate ‘attention to detail’.
✔️How to deal with undue pressure. At times, there can be 7 orders, 20 hungry people and only 6 mins to prepare it all. I learned to calm down, breathe, prioritise and get it done.
✔️The power of teamwork. When you’re feeding 100 mouths a day, teamwork becomes more than a buzzword. It becomes real.
✔️Curiosity is a superpower. Why can’t microwaves brown chicken? Why do we use only egg whites in a meringue? The kitchen taught me that when you act on your curiosity, you learn a great deal of things that you wouldn’t have learned otherwise. 

All in all, it was a great experience but in the end, it’s that “love for ideas” that brought me back to advertising. JK. The salary was pretty abysmal.

A unique role that combined a social media executive’s know-how with a copywriter’s writing chops. This was at a time when many advertising agencies were venturing into digital advertising and social media marketing.

In the process, I conceptualised and wrote content for, crafted social strategies and handled the social media pages of Star Plus, India’s biggest entertainment channel with a social presence of 9 million+ followers (at the time).

This role gave me deep knowledge of the digital landscape and an immersive, practical know-how of social media and how to “think socially”.
