My client was pressing me about "not showing up in ChatGPT searches." 

My first thought was to dismiss it as not enough entity co-occurrence, lack of digital footprint, etc. (And that part was true). 

But as I drilled down and got more long long-tail, something wasn't adding up. 

So I checked their robots.txt and KA-BOOM💥

Their developers quietly implemented a disallow GPTBot without telling anyone. 

It ultimately falls on me for not checking this sooner, but friendly reminder... check your damn robots.txt
