🫆 It’s quite ironic that the problem with B2B buying is that the prospect already wants to buy. 

But the problem is they have to convince 7 other people who don’t want to deal with change. And in my experience, that’s where most deals die (sepukku). In fact, the complexity of the buying circle is simply prospect indecisiveness. 

I think I've got a fix for that. A quick re-intro here: 

I'm Ayomide Joseph (let's stick to you calling me Joseph), and I build what I call ‘The Buyer Enablement Engine’ (weird name…I know). 

It’s sort of a repeatable process that helps you turn sales intelligence into the assets buyers can use to get stakeholder buy-in. 

I mean the comparison doc you can send to IT, the ROI breakdown execs would love, and some itty-bitty stuff about finances that CFOs like. 

Here's how it works:
🏏 I use your sales call transcripts and Gong clips,
🏏 win/loss patterns from your CRM,
🏏 competitor intel and positioning teardowns,
🏏 Product demos, support tickets, and customer interviews

Then I build the assets your buyers are already asking for:
🔖 Competitive comparison pages (the "vs [Competitor]" pages)
🔖 Objection-handling content ("Is this compliant?" "Does it integrate?" "Will this replace our current stack?")
🔖 Proof-based content (case studies with quantified outcomes)

🫆 I think we all love the idea that excellence sells itself. That if your product is faster, simpler, or more elegant, the market will eventually recognize it. 
 
But that's not how it works—at least not anymore. 
 
And that's because "better" doesn’t create pull (in this case, customers). It just creates potential. And potential doesn't convert on its own. 
 
Here’s what I mean: Every market is full of great products that never crossed the adoption chasm. ProductHunt, Acquired & IndieHackers have thousands of product to prove this. 
 
Now I'm not saying this product weren't good. But I believe they assumed 'goodness' was enough. 
 
However, markets don't reward the best product. If anything, they reward the product that's easiest to understand, justify, and champion internally. 
 
Notion is a good example of this. When the company started, it wasn’t the only workspace tool on the market. 
 
But most tools focused on selling features because the game was down to who had the latest (whatever shiny new tech). And Notion figured they couldn't compete on that (afterall, they were new and they'd lose that game). 
 
So they approached the market by selling 'a way to think.' Basically a second brain. Notion-will-make-you-smarter type of ideology. 
 
In fact, on one of their first landing pages, the tagline was “Drag. Drop. Work as fluidly as you think.’ 
 
And like every movement. That message gave the market something to rally behind. Sort of a movement they could defend (or cult following...i'd say). 
 
Meanwhile, plenty of technically “better” tools faded quietly, because they still focused on specs while their buyers were trying to sell a 'story' to their teams. 
 
The same thing happens everywhere. Yes, your product might genuinely solve the problem, but if the market doesn’t feel the difference, it won’t matter. 
 
Buyers simply care about your story, and whether it makes their choice easier to defend when they take it in-house (where the actual 'selling' happens). 
 
So, if you'll be taking anything from this, it's for you to make the decision easier for your customer.

🫆Now that everyone can vibe-code or AI their way into building a fairly decent product. 

I think we’re forgetting that we’re all still trying to sell to humans. Some of the approaches I’ve seen is that we’re building for a world where we THINK that AI-will make the decision, hence disconnecting humans from human. 

As such, we’re simply appealing to the machines. 

However, our unpredictable and insatiable nature edges that bet against AI — hence, all the gimmicks of improving workflow and its semantics will mean nothing when our behavior changes. 

Just like we’ve seen with the increase in zero-click searches. 

Interestingly, people are also searching more for things and still want to be sold to — same channels, mode of communication and medium. 

By all logical assumption, it means marketing will remain the only surviving market after the AI-frenzy plateaus. 

Interesting times.
