I consulted to the leadership team, and together we launched a pioneering study on e-commerce in South Africa that was hugely successful in building Platinum Seed's reputation, relationships, reach and recognition.

My goal was launch the SaaS platform as a first choice for influencer marketing in South Africa and beyond. To achieve this I conceived and executed a Go-To-Market plan that saw Continuon launch with 50 of the world’s top brands through Africa’s first research study on social influence. This was a hugely successful commercial launch.

Given my deep expertise with branding, I also focused on the brand, PR, messaging writing and storytelling. My mandate included revising all the sales and customer facing content, and helping to manage research reports. Continuon's first research study on social influence in SA was done with World Wide Worx.

Helped transform Ornico from a commodity monitoring company into a brand intelligence and social analytics firm. Conceived the new business plan, led the brand and marketing strategy. Consulted to the CEO. Mentored the marketing team. Oversaw public research reports, worked on product development, and customer excellence programme. Managed custom publishing, high level content, and ghost writing for the CEO. During this time the business grew from an operation of 30 to a team of 180.

World Wide Worx

I helped World Wide Worx conceive the Social Media Landscape for 2018. This annual research study is SA's top social media research project. I was the editor and project manager. My goals -- to generate sales and to promote interest in the research study by refreshing content. 

I ran a key research project for the study based on SA brand use of social media [The SA Social Brand Survey]. I oversaw the design process, and collaborated with conference organisers for the launch of the research study. My editorial role included conceptualising content, creating content, and editing the final book. I worked with partners to get industry experts and thought leaders to contribute content, or to participate in the report.

The South African Social Media Landscape 2018 contains everything brands need to know to successfully navigate social networks. Marketers, brand owners, public relations professionals, entrepreneurs, agency owners, strategists, Chief Marketing Officers and social media professionals value this report, and use to inform social campaigns in SA.

Lewis Pugh - UN Patron of the Seas

I was fortunate to work with the remarkable Lewis Pugh on a content campaign aimed at making massive global companies responsible for the damage they do to marine wildlife, the oceans and humanity, by sponsoring shark fishing tournaments [or sponsoring events that involve the capture of marine species that are on the protected or endangered list]. This project achieved great outcomes, with a number of global brands withdrawing from large fishing tournaments in the US. 

An ocean advocate, author and speaker on the global circuit, Lewis Pugh has been described as the "Sir Edmund Hillary of swimming" and "the human polar bear". Pugh was the first person to complete a long-distance swim in every ocean of the world. Pugh's life mission is to draw attention to the plight of vulnerable ocean ecosystems and to do everything in his power to ensure they are protected.
