I have always been driven by an entrepreneurial spirit and was drawn to the start-up world. 
I therefore decided to leave Google when offered the opportunity to lead the growth of a seed company, GoSeemba (initially Snapp, the first mobile apps builder) which was funded by a former Google colleague/friend and members of Singularity University. 
The company's vision was to bring online SMBs in emerging markets and increase their success.
We developed the technology to build the lightest and fastest websites to respond to the challenges of emerging markets such as weak/unstable connectivity and low-performance devices. We launched the "one-tap-to-everywhere" concept, allowing business owners with just one tap to create a solid online presence, including a high-performing website, custom social media profiles, presence on Google Maps and on all relevant business lists and aggregators. All the places where potential clients and business partners could find them. It was a fantastic experience that provided me with broad exposure to various aspects of business operations, from marketing to development, fundraising to operations.
The company was nominated among the "Top 6 Best Mobile Innovation for Emerging Markets" at the prestigious Mobile World Congress 2017 and it was selected as one of the first 10 strategic partners in Internet.org, Facebook's program for emerging markets.

Some of my key initiatives included:
• Leading $1.1 million in Series-A funding from venture capitalists in Italy and Israel.
• Leading and mentoring a team of 15 employees across R&D, Digital Marketing, Business Development and Customer Service departments.
• Establishing strategic partnerships with the Government of Maharashtra (India), Google and Internet.org (Facebook) to drive growth and success.

Choosing Google among the offers I had received to start my career was undoubtedly one of the best choices of my professional life. 
As one of the first 50 hires in the newly created cloud division (Google Enterprise at the time, now Google Cloud), I was able to play a key role in the division's growth from a small team to over 300 employees in just three years. At Google, I was fortunate to be mentored by some of the industry's top leaders, many of whom now hold high-level positions (VP+) in world’s tech giants. I had the privilege of collaborating with some of the brightest and most ambitious talents of my generation, many of whom have become dear friends. 

Following the first promotion I was assigned the management of the newly created Sales Development Team for both the Business and the Education verticals under the mentoring of unique leaders that significantly increased the quality and accelerated the path of my professional growth. For the achievements I received the prestigious Google Global Award, a reward assigned once a year to employees who distinguished themselves for special initiatives and results that significantly impact the organisation. 

Some of my key initiatives included: 
• Hiring, training and leading the first 8 members of the newly established EMEA Sales Development Team, resulting in the team achieving sales targets. 
• Developing and executing a new partnership with Chambers of Commerce in Spain, creating a repeatable process that was implemented in other EMEA markets. 
• Reporting directly to and receiving mentorship from the International Head of Sales Development.

◊ Merit/Reward: Received the prestigious "Google Global Gold Award" for the success of the Sales Development Team, which served as a model for replication in NA and APAC regions.

Some of my key initiatives included:
• Conceiving and executing new strategic plans to increase the growth of Google Cloud in the primary markets in EMEA.
• Establishing the initial collaboration between Google and LinkedIn to introduce a social selling strategy for Google for Work's Sales Teams.
• Providing customized Advanced Sales training to Google's EMEA Sales Team and EMEA's Premium Partners after receiving training from renowned “sales gurus” around the world.

◊ Merit/Reward: Consistently achieving sales goals for 5 consecutive quarters resulting in $1.6M in revenue and ranking as the top performer in Google Demand Management’s internal sales competition.

In 2012, while pursuing two Masters degrees (MSc Finance and MSc International Management), I was selected for a summer internship in the Procurement Division at Henkel Iberia's headquarters in Barcelona (Spain). This opportunity allowed me to gain valuable insight into the inner workings of a leading multinational corporation.

Some of my key initiatives included:
• Leading a three-month strategic process to assess the financial sustainability of Henkel's entire supplier portfolio.
• Replacing 4 regular team members during their summer holidays in the management of the respective suppliers and in the internal collaboration with other departments.
• Substituting the Procurement Department Director temporarily on holidays in preparing and presenting H1 2012 results to Henkel's VP of Global Procurement coming from HQ.

◊ Merit/Reward: The financial assessment project I led helped multiple suppliers improve their cost structures and ultimately achieve higher profitability.

New challenges foster my enthusiasm and determination. At Centaur Energy Drinks I had the lead of a Sales Team in charge of opening the market in North Italy and study new business opportunities and approaches. I contributed to the creation of new sales channels and to the development of new products features and usages. Such innovations allowed the company to expand market opportunities vertically and horizontally. I remember this experience with particular pleasure due to the high interaction with board members from whom I learned a lot in terms of new business development.
