Microbusiness Ideas / AI enthusiast / TEDx speaker

• Coded email campaigns with RoR and SendGrid that allows Schools to run mailchimp-like campaign efforts to prospective students in their funnel.
• Established various prospect reports (e.g. Prospect, Contact) that displays # of Prospects, Contacts, and their respective actions on the app with background jobs, which saves end user 100s of hours of data gathering.
• Wrote ruby scripts to help devs write various reports for Prospect CRM that resulted in reducing dev time from 2-3 days to 15-30 minutes.
• Collaborated on Prospect CRM, a relationship management system for prospects of post-secondary institutions that allows staff to follow up with potential prospects via email campaigns.
• Collaborated, built, and refactored Contacts CRM, which captures connections and data relationships to a prospect in Rails, and in doing so reduced tech debt (lines of code) by 50%
• Single-handedly wiped out our bug backlog and maintained the backlog week after week for three quarters at ZERO bugs. 
• Achieved a 95% batting average in terms of bugs/features/defects merged and closed without any major hotfixes.
• Updated and maintained an alert system that tracks activity between staff and student that affected millions of students during COVID19 pandemic.

• Developed and upgraded calendar syncing feature using Microsoft’s Graph API in order to consolidate over 1,000,000 users’ outlook calendar with our in-house calendar.
• Led bug and triage team in prioritizing and fixing bugs such that we had less than 10 bugs 85% of the time opened.
• Mentored and challenged new junior developers right out of college and helped them ramp up such that they started pushing MRs within 1 to 2 months.
• Wrote scripts that directly ran on our production databases in order to delete over 1,000,000 messages with plain-text passwords recorded via pattern matching.
• Leveraged DNS Simple to create custom URLS for our clients (over 200 schools) that had separate databases via multi-tenancy
• Leveraged Sendgrid’s SMTP Relay to handle email management and sending for our over 200 schools and millions of monthly sent emails.
• Led and developed an alert system that our clients’ (i.e. schools) staff can use that automatically sends emails to over 1,000,000 students that are at-risk of failing.
• Developed and managed an Appointment Center system used by all our clients (i.e. 200 schools) everyday to manage appointments between staff and their entire student body.

Pinterest is currently the most underrated platform in 2024.

   1. In the first quarter of 2024, Pinterest had a total of 518 million monthly active users worldwide.
   2. 75% of weekly Pinterest users say they’re always shopping.
   3. Pins have a lifespan of 6 to 12 months – compared to couple hours on Instagram and Tiktok.

If you’re trying to build an audience for your blog or drive traffic to your products/e-commerce store and make money, Pinterest is where you want to be.

Here’s the golden nugget of what you need to know: SEO is KING on Pinterest and now is the time for you to target and OWN keywords.

Here are some common mistakes new Pinterest creators make:

   - The think that the creative (image/video) is most important.
   - They spend hours creating the content and seconds on the title and description.
   - They don’t have a CTA back to their blog or product.
   - MOST IMPORTANT: They are NOT CONSISTENT.

Here are 3 tips on what you need to do to GROW on Pinterest:

   1. Obviously, consistency. Post every day.
   2. Plan for the keywords you’re targeting. Craft your titles and descriptions for them.
   3. Post a minimum of 3X per day, maximum 8X per day.

Clearly, it’s not easy to grow on Pinterest, like any social platform.

It takes time.

But if you made it to here, congratulations, you saved yourself 6 months worth of fumbling on Pinterest.

The people I learned this from spent years fumbling on Pinterest.

To grow, you have two options, really.

   1. Make the time and do the work.
   2. Hire someone to do it for you.
