I led the development (and launch to market) of a new division within the NK group of companies; The NK Group being made up of NK Fencing, NK Automation, NK Coatings and NK Sports. 

My duties entailed every aspect you would expect to find within each of the following disciplines; 

•Estimating
•Sales
•Contracts management 
•Accounting (reconciling accounts, invoicing etc)
•Regular reporting of all activity to MD (Sales and WIP)

I vetted all incoming enquires, identified specification requirement (Weld procedures, Surface treatments etc), compiled all estimates, sales, management of projects, RAM creation (addressing H&S both on site and in factory), appointed sub-contractors, maintained QMS (EN1090), assessed personnel needs, scheduled production meetings; amongst other duties. 

I reported directly the NK Group Managing Director.

I successfully applied to fill this position after the post of Senior Estimator became vacant due to the retirement of the Estimating/Contracts Director with 42 years’ continuous service.  

Based in Northern Ireland P. F. Copeland have an established customer base throughout the UK, ROI and Europe.

As Senior Estimator I had the comprehensive responsibility of effectively running all commercial aspects of the business from an enquiry is received to the delivery of a project.  

I was responsible for all aspects of Business Development focusing on maximizing the return on the company’s investment and development, efficient operational control and organisational development, financial cost management as well as effective sales management. I represented the business at all meet the buyer events, commercial invitations and trade trips. 

PF Copeland prides itself on the ability to supply bespoke fabrications into various sectors whilst also being able to undertake larger batch production of primary and/or secondary structural steel. 

PF Copeland worked primarily with Stainless Steel, Mild Steel & Aluminium with the core products being Tanks, Vessels, Mezzanine Floors, Staircases, Balustrading, and various other types of secondary type steelwork.  

Alongside the production of Estimates it was my duty to accurately review all incoming enquiries including drawings, works information packs and specifications.
