People love perfection, right?

Wrong.

We crafted posts that felt raw and human.

𝘙𝘦𝘢𝘭 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴, 𝘮𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘺 𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘤𝘤𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘵𝘺𝘱𝘰𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘴 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭...𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦.

One post started with:

“Can I be honest? We completely screwed up, and here’s what happened...”
Guess what? People stopped scrolling.

𝟯️. 𝗪𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻’𝘁 “𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗹” – 𝘄𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱

- There was no hard pitch.
- No “DM me for services.”

Instead, each post ended with:
1. An open question
2. An unexpected insight
3. Or an invitation to share their own experience.

𝟰️. 𝗪𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 “𝗽𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝘂𝗽𝘁” 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲

Social media is noisy. Everyone’s saying the same thing in slightly different words.

So we broke patterns.

Instead of writing another “𝟯 𝘁𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝘁𝗼…” post, we flipped the script.

Examples:

✅ “Why Most ‘Great Teams’ Are Actually Toxic (and How to Fix It)”

✅ “Stop Managing Your Time. Start Managing Your Energy.”

The best tip I can give you here?

Learn your audience.

You will get the answers there.

Most messages are built around “Here’s what I sell.”

Ours were built around “Here’s what might help you.”

That shift turns resistance into curiosity.

When you make it about them, you earn the right to talk about you.

3. We tracked conversations, not conversions.

We measured how many real discussions we started,  not how many links we dropped.

Once we focused on genuine connections, sales became a natural outcome.


LinkedIn isn’t a lead list.

It’s a network of real people with real goals, fears, and needs.


Deliver value.
Create conversations. 


That’s how LinkedIn sales actually work.
No fancy ABC formula.

You hire top talent. You raise capital.
But your online presence is invisible.
That’s a liability in 2025.

I’ve worked with founders who’ve bootstrapped million-dollar revenues.

I’ve worked with CEOs who’ve closed 8-figure rounds over breakfast.

And yet — when I Google them, I find…
A 2018 panel photo.
A birthday post from their cousin.
And maybe, maybe a press release written by someone in PR who’s never sat through their Monday leadership meetings.

In 2025, people don’t just Google you —
They judge you.
They decide whether to reply to your email.
Whether to hire you.
Whether to trust you.

Look — I get it.
You’re building. You’re hiring. You’re leading. You don’t have 40 minutes to think about whether you should use “build” or “scale” in your About section.

But here’s the tradeoff:

While you’re silent, someone less qualified than you is showing up.

With opinions.
With clarity.

And they’re getting the invites. The panels. The partnerships. The positioning.

Not because they’re better.
But because they’re visible.

And in the game of influence, visibility eats credibility for breakfast.

So let me ask you —

You raised capital. Great.

But does your online story reflect the founder who convinced investors to wire that money?

You’ve hired a rockstar team. Amazing.

But does your LinkedIn presence reflect the kind of leader top talent wants to follow in the long term?

Because today, influence is infrastructure.
Not optional.
Not vanity.
Necessary.

Here’s what I tell my clients:

Your brand isn’t “what you say.”

It’s what others repeat when you’re not in the room — or the call — or the inbox.

Free pizza doesn't fix toxic culture 


Companies spend thousands of dollars on perks - ping pong tables, free snacks, happy hours, and yes… even weekly pizza deliveries.

But here’s the cold, uncomfortable truth: perks don’t make a workplace healthy.

What actually does:

1️⃣ Surface vs. Substance

A pizza Friday is a surface-level fix.

Culture is deeply structural - it lives in leadership behavior, decision-making transparency, accountability, and respect.

Without these, the fun stuff is just a shiny distraction.

2️⃣ The Human Cost

People leave managers, not companies.

They leave miscommunication, favoritism, blame games, and lack of psychological safety—things money can’t buy or pizza can’t solve.

And while you’re busy celebrating “Team Snack Hour,” your real talent is quietly updating their LinkedIn profile.

3️⃣ Small Actions, Big Signals

Saying “thank you” sincerely.

Owning mistakes instead of blaming.

Encouraging questions without judgment.

Investing in mentorship, not only perks.

These actions whisper loudly:

“You belong here. You are safe. You matter.”

4️⃣ The Staircase to Real Change

Imagine culture as a staircase, not a slide:

Step 1: Awareness → Admit there’s a problem (even if it hurts).
Step 2: Accountability → Leaders act, not just talk.
Step 3: Consistency → Policies, behaviors, and recognition align.
Step 4: Empathy → Understand the human behind the role.
Step 5: Growth → People flourish, teams collaborate, and magic happens.

Pizza? That’s just the cherry on top after the steps are built - not a replacement.

5️⃣ A Human Reminder

If you’re a leader reading this, here’s my plea:

Don’t confuse perks with progress.

Don’t confuse a smile with safety.

Build trust, listen deeply, and act consistently.

Most of you didn’t start personal branding in 2025.
Most of you won’t in 2026 either.

And that’s the real tragedy.

Not because you lack talent.
Not because you don’t have stories worth telling.
But because you’re still waiting for “the right time.”

Let me tell you something:

There’s never a right time to show up online.
There’s just today.

And most people spend that “today” scrolling through people who did.

I’ve seen founders building incredible products that could change industries - but no one knows their name.

Executives who’ve led 500+ teams but can’t express a single story from their journey.


Visibility is not vanity.

The world doesn’t reward the best anymore.
It rewards the most visible best.

You can either keep consuming other people’s stories,
or you can start writing yours.

Not for likes.
Not for followers.
But to make sure your name echoes in rooms your feet haven’t yet entered.

Because people don’t follow perfection -
they follow presence.

Start messy.
Start unsure.
But please… just start.
