So I walked away.

What looked like going down the ladder led me to an early-stage climate startup.

From the outside, it looked like I was going backwards.
But for me, it was a giant leap forward.

As we built the team and started hiring, I noticed something:

Iets wat ik zelf niet wist over consultancy…

In bijna elke consultancyloopbaan zitten twee kantelpunten.

Na 2–3 jaar 
Dan snap je wat de job écht inhoudt: het tempo, de druk, de verwachtingen. Dan stel je jezelf de eerlijke vraag: wil ik hier verder in groeien?

Na 5 jaar 
Dan dringt een grotere keuze zich op: ga ik vol richting partner, of kies ik bewust een ander pad?

Zowel Marie als Thomas kozen ervoor om op zo'n kantelpunt hun carrière om te gooien richting Companion.energy, waar ze zich vandaag volledig smijten op de energietransitie.

Opvallend: bij beide werkgevers werd dat kantelpunt niet afgeremd, maar erkend en ondersteund.
