I have been involved in the property sector all my working life and now have over 25 years experience in the delivery of development projects across a variety of sectors and regions 

Recently I have focused on the self storage sector, owning and operating facilities as well as providing 3rd Party Management Services to both property owners and investors interested in getting involved in the self-storage sector. 

I have also been a trustee of Resurgo Trust (www.resurgo.org.uk) which helps communities overcome social challenges through church based social ventures and 1MoreChild (www.1morechild.org) which provides housing and schooling for children in Uganda. I am currently a trustee of The Branch (www.thebranchtrust.org) which is a community hub run by St Mary’s Church in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire.

Lead Director of JLL's Alternatives team, which brings together more than 80 dedicated professionals focusing on valuation, corporate transactions and capital markets in the core alternative markets of student housing, health care, self storage, data centres, car parking and other emerging sectors.

I established the self storage team at JLL which at the time led across EMEA in a valuation, data and research, debt and captial markets capacity.

Deloitte Middle East

Six month secondment to Deloitte's real estate valuation business in Dubai where I worked across the Middle East and Africa in providing valuation and real estate advisory services to infrastructure owners, real estate investors and developers.  Completed the valuation of Dubai's two airports. Improved advice to the firm's internal clients such as audit support.  Recruited new senior members of the team, along with improving quality, approach to risk and professional standards within the business,. Developed a more market facing business.

Following the merger of Drivers Jonas with Deloitte in 2010, I went on to become head of real estate valuation leading a team of nearly 30 valuers and airport consultants. 

I was also responsible for M&A real estate, graduate recruitment and training, as well as the lead on self storage.   I established the method for valuing self storage and then went on to sell portfolios and individual assets with more than £500m of transactions between 2007 and 2013.  I was heavily involved in areas such as the restructuring of car parking businesses including NCP, non-peforming loan books of European banks and airport transactions.

I joined Drivers Jonas as a graduate and qualified as a chartered surveyor in 1996. I specialised in valuation with a special focus on alternative asset types, trading properties and development land, as well as main stream commercial property. Clients included housing associations, self storage operators, motorway service stations, leisure and entertainment venues, and a wide variety of public sector clients. I also directly negotiated property transactions including ransom strips, marriage values, the sale of self storage portfolios, and leases of airports.

A real estate professional with a leading profile in the self storage sector having worked across the UK and EMEA since the 1990s from a valuation, agency and corporate finance perspective.  

I bring together first-hand transactional experience and creativity together with analytical valuation professionalism, and deep sector knowledge.

My career started at Drivers Jonas. I joined as a graduate and went on to become an equity partner 15 years later. I  led the firm’s real estate valuation business following our merger with Deloitte.  I lived in London, Edinburgh and Dubai during my career with them.  

I joined JLL in 2014 to establish their Alternatives business in the UK and their self storage team.  I led the UK Commercial Valuation team from 2020 though Covid and a global restructuring, and then was EMEA Alternatives sector lead.  I joined Savills as head of self storage in 2024.

I founded and am a Director of Chiswick Flower Market which is a Community Interest Company with the objective of revitalise my town centre - it now attracts thousands of visitors and is a top 10 London market.
