I have been involved in the property sector all my working life and now have over 25 years experience in the delivery of development projects across a variety of sectors and regions 

Recently I have focused on the self storage sector, owning and operating facilities as well as providing 3rd Party Management Services to both property owners and investors interested in getting involved in the self-storage sector. 

I have also been a trustee of Resurgo Trust (www.resurgo.org.uk) which helps communities overcome social challenges through church based social ventures and 1MoreChild (www.1morechild.org) which provides housing and schooling for children in Uganda. I am currently a trustee of The Branch (www.thebranchtrust.org) which is a community hub run by St Mary’s Church in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire.

As the Content Manager and Editor at media update, I was responsible for editing and managing all the content on the website, which included both original/internal content as well as external content. In my role, I aimed to ensure a high standard of quality content that was correct, consistent, and informative to media update's niche audience.

Content Manager

While working at Newsclip Media Monitoring, I was asked to apply for a position at the company’s publication, media update. As publishing assistant, I was responsible for editing press releases and original content relating to the media, marketing, public relations and social media industries. 

In this position, I identified shortcomings in the systems and management of the small department and offered assistance and suggestions where I could. Through doing this, I was able to prove myself as both a competent editor and content manager. As the Johannesburg team grew, I also proved myself to be a competent and effective leader to the small team. 

From this starting point, I worked myself up to the position of Content Editor and then Content Manager.
