Sharing valuable content is 1 pillar of your strategy...

You also need to write about mistakes, lessons learned, regrets, your first job, your biggest personal win this year, your hobbies... All of a sudden you're connecting with people at an emotional level.

These topics reach more people and allow you to have more impact.

They reach prospects, potential partners, future employees and friends.

Yes, tactical content is great.

But, think about the bigger picture and long-term payoffs.

Share your story.

It's never been easier to be successful than it is today.

It's also never been easier to be distracted.

Try this today:

Sit down with a timer.

Leave your phone in another room.

Headphones to block noise.

Do important work.

Don't you dare check Twitter or watch a YT video.

Just do work that moves the needle forward.

If you're sending automated outreach, your goal is NOT to trick people into thinking you sent it manually.

Your goal is to make the message/offer so good that they DON'T CARE if it's automated or not.

Prospects respond because they WANT that you have.

Offer > Fake Personalisation.

Posting on Linkedin = Trust at scale

Engaging with your ICP = Trust at less scale

Talking 1-1 in the DMs = High trust low scale

Now, imagine you do all 3 to your prospects.

First you post and show up on their feed...

Then, you show up in their comments...

Then, you start a natural/relevant conversation.

Imagine the trust you build BEFORE selling anything.

Sounds dumb but one of the easiest ways to get more inbounds on Linkedin is to NOT talk about your business.

Like 1x a week say something completely unhinged lol.

Show you're human.

Show you actually have a life, so people can relate to you.

No, not a crying selfie.

Just a part of your story people can connect with.

- Your faith
- Your travels
- Your goals
- Your failures
- Your lessons
- Your family
- Your hobbies
- Your struggles

If you master this art of emotional connection ^

1. You'll get more inbounds

2. You’ll get more positive word-of-mouth

3. Your sales calls will never be the same again.

How to get clients on Linkedin and become an authority in any niche:

Write down 100 darlings of your niche.

By this, I mean companies or founders in your space who are looked at as authorities or respected.

Now, think of a way you can add value to them for FREE with your service.

Examples:

- If you build landing pages -> Free landing page re-design

- If you do Youtube -> Free YT video (edit, thumbnails, SEO)

- If you do email -> Re-write welcome email flow for free

Give free value in exchange for feedback/testimonials.

Do this for 3 months, you end up with testimonials from 5-10 of the biggest players in your space.

This is gives you authority by association.

You can plaster this social proof everywhere.

In your content.
In your outreach.
All over your website.

You get the point.
