After 13 years as an anesthesiologist and medical director at a hospital, I shifted my focus full-time to venture capital in 2020.

In 2014, I co-founded OFFOR Health, a mobile healthcare service that delivers timely care to children in offices, reducing long waits in traditional operating rooms. What began as a side project now serves 13,000 children annually, fueling my passion for building impactful businesses and teams.

I authored "Physician Underdog," sharing insights on venture capital, leadership, and my shift from medicine to business.

Additionally, I co-created Beyond Physician, a platform that collaborates with trade organizations to provide training, learning opportunities, and career paths for physicians and medical students.

Through these experiences, I enjoy sharing knowledge and insights via writing and content creation on social platforms and podcasts.

Small Business Consulting: Delivered marketing consulting services across 6 different business, successfully developing marketing and branding strategies and providing expert advice.

Uber Eats:  Delivered a 2020 Marketing Strategy & Plan to Uber East Australia as part of the recruitment process, with the presentation demonstrating a holistic command of world-class marketing and the execution of an integrated marketing work powered by consumer insights and data. Made a shortlist of 2 candidates from 400+ applicants.

The Star Entertainment Group

With competitive pressures, regulatory and public scrutiny, a revolving door at the executive level and needing to rapidly pivot during COVID-19, led the gaming marketing team and worked with operations, VIP sales and diverse customers. Developed marketing campaigns and ensured the delivery of return on marketing investment in gaming across The Star Entertainment Group (the equivalent of 85% of the revenue).  Reports: Up to 11 Staff

* Led the acquisition (sign-up and on-boarding) for all 3 properties (Sydney, Gold Coast and Brisbane). Developed a highly effective sales funnel, from bronze to platinum diamond level, with over 150 pieces of targeted communication going out each week and ensuring the utilisation of effective CRM tools.

* Re-defined the promotional program with the vision to be the #1 Poker Destination in the Southern Hemisphere.
Launched exclusive technologies, games and tournaments that do not exist anywhere else across Australia. Broke previous global records in both participation rate and prize pool on the WPT Deepstacks tournament.
Leveraged key strategic partners to gain major support for the first ever Sydney FC X The Star Entertainment Group Poker Tournament. Secured wide coverage in the media, including Channel 10 news. 
Dramatically improved the ROI on all promotional activities. 
* Developed one of the biggest initiatives in the Main Gaming floor in years (confidential project).

* Launched a business-wide care Star Care initiative across all facets of the business (responsible gambling). Worked with IT, the legal team, and regulators, to ensure delivery on a complex project.
* Transitioned the business from cash to prize promotions, meeting regulatory changes and winning over clients.

Guest Guard is a modular protection shield for a range of public space applications, from restaurants to offices, helping businesses during the unprecedented 2020, rapidly get back on their feet. It also provides a suite of other protection items such as hand sanitiser, dispenser and wipes.

As the CEO, I transformed an idea into a $1,000,000 business in just 6 weeks, from website development, SEO, case studies through to sales and business supply chain management.

Sold across multiple businesses (Telstra, Coffee Club, Bounce Physio and The Barbershop Chain), enabling a tripling of capacity for businesses, at the same time enabling them to be COVID-19 safe.

Promoted to lead the development of the newest brand in Australian convenience, ‘The Foodary’.  The Foodary, is a multi award-winning branded convenience offer which established barista coffee, fresh food, innovative beverages, ready meals, services in an inviting café-style environment.

✓  Delivered for the first time a consistent brand standard, successfully connecting multiple areas of the business.
✓  Drove the development and delivery of a brand culture and service model, ‘The Real Foodie Initiative’. Increased customer engagement levels up to 300% nationally. 
✓  Transformed the store design to ensure that the customer was at the heart of all key decision-making.  Concept so successful, competitors subsequently imitated the new store concepts.
✓   Increased visitation numbers by up to 23%, improved social media engagement, raised sales by up to 32% per store and averaged 13% + on free app downloads following events.

Marketing Manager - Convenience Development  - "The Foodary"

Promoted to be part of a collaborative and pioneering agile development team, established to disrupt and reinvent the convenience market sector in Australia. 

✓  Collaboratively reinvented the Australian servo with real convenience, including sourcing and partnering with over 20 new suppliers and management of new categories, from barista coffee, fresh fruit, bakery, through to ready made meals. Sales averaged 35% more than standard stores, with new categories across Caltex stores leading to $4.5M in incremental sales.

✓  Awarded Euromonitor Top 3 Global Retail Concept 2017, QSR Retailer Award 2016 and Caltex CEO Award 2017.

With slow growth, categories in decline and competitors winning market share, led major campaigns and projects to reverse trend and revitalise this iconic brand.
