Why Should I Choose You?

That is the title of my article that was just published in FDI Alliance International Magazine and it is the question everyone asks prior to making a purchase.

Here is an excerpt from that article:

"If a product or service does not distinguish itself as being different, better and more valuable than other options, there will be one basis for the buyer to decide which to purchase: 

PRICE.

Here is a good example of that. 

Say I notice that my car is getting low on fuel. 

Up ahead there are three gas stations in close proximity to one another. Two of them are offering the exact same price while the third is two cents less per gallon.

Which one am I most likely to choose?

That's right, the one with the lower price because, in the minds of most people, they are...identical."

Can Scientific Creative Thinking Methods help you land your dream job?

Yesterday I was interviewed for a forthcoming SUCCESS Magazine article. 

The article is about AI and how it affects our ability to think - especially creatively. 

The author and I had a discussion about the many applications of AI with one of those being the ATS numerous companies use as a screening tool.

It reminded me of an article I wrote over four years ago for FDI Alliance International Magazine titled How to Land Your Dream Job.

Though I did not reference the ATS specifically in that article, the Scientific Creative Thinking Method I shared there is a way to circumvent it and stand out in an increasingly crowded applicant pool.

The interview prompted me to re-read the article and this paragraph near the end stood out as particularly insightful:

"Some final thoughts: doing this may even land you a position that is not advertised. When a company encounters someone that can solve problems for them, they may hire them even though they are not looking - or there isn't a job opening, per se. They also may consider them for another - even better - position."
