Who am I?

Before launching King Strategic Consulting, I led a business unit for a global healthcare services firm. What started as a turnaround turned into a growing enterprise that quadrupled in revenue. 

Throughout my career, I’ve developed products and built teams for start up, publicly traded, and PE backed organizations.

I have an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and reside in Nashville, TN with my wife and our twin 14-year old boys.

• Led marketing launch of Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index, the largest health and well-being measure in the nation with 1 million surveys and 4 billion media impressions in its first year.
• Planned 3 years of Well-Being Summits attracting 175 executive-level employers and featuring speakers like Dr. Deepak Chopra, Dr. Michael Roizen and Dan Buettner. 
• Built Well-Being Index website boosting visits 215% between 2009 and 2010.

Senior Marketing & Brand Strategist

Led marketing integration plans including brand migration strategy, internal/external media and communication plans, and budgeting process for three acquisitions.  

Directed international marketing strategy, budget, RFP and sales collateral development, media relations, website build, and recruitment advertising to help win the first international contract in Germany. 

Supported build-out of new disease and wellness products working closely with the internal product development team and strategic partners to message, position, price and package programs. 

Managed communications for 57 health plans and collaborated with clinicians, customers, ad agencies and health vendors on disease and wellness product content, from inception of material to print production and delivery.

Accomplishments:
•  Implemented successful cost reduction strategy in consumer fulfillment refining direct mail delivery to save the company millions of dollars.
•  Secured 80% opt-in success rate post launch of member campaigns built and implemented for Healthways Medicare Health Support pilots.
•  Conceptualized and managed production of 2006 Healthways Annual Report receiving Silver Award from the League of American Communications Professionals.
