Who am I?

Before launching King Strategic Consulting, I led a business unit for a global healthcare services firm. What started as a turnaround turned into a growing enterprise that quadrupled in revenue. 

Throughout my career, I’ve developed products and built teams for start up, publicly traded, and PE backed organizations.

I have an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and reside in Nashville, TN with my wife and our twin 14-year old boys.

At Monogram Health in Brentwood, TN, I served as the Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Enrollment and Client Performance from 2022 to 2023. In this role, I was responsible for overseeing Contact Center Sales Operations targeting the B2C segment and Member Services Enrollment Support for our value-based program. My primary objective was to monitor and assess health plan client performance, with a strong emphasis on risk mitigation and SLA (Service Level Agreement) compliance. I utilized Workforce Management (WFM) tools for demand and resource planning, providing key performance indicators (KPIs) to effectively measure performance and operational efficiency. I also played a crucial role in standardizing and implementing operational protocols (SOP) and best practices to streamline our operations. Additionally, I appraised performance and introduced secondary engagement strategies to promote customer success.

I managed multi-site departments, including global teams, and served as the Product Owner for FinPay integration. I improved admissions quality through payor analysis, enhancing revenue reimbursement. I developed training guides for Business Office Managers, boosting team efficiency. I also contributed to sales admissions strategies and worked as a Business Analyst for various solutions.

As the Director of Business Services at Recovery First dba American Addiction Centers, I led front-end operations, managed admissions, billing, for financial analysis. I oversaw provider and member grievances, conducted financial audits, and boosted revenue. I guided support staff, improving procedures and adherence to policies. I monitored KPIs and achieved higher cash collection rates and patient satisfaction scores. I enhanced vendor relations and communication within the organization. Collaborating with Network Development, I ensured an adequate specialist network and explored future care models. My leadership resulted in operational efficiency and growth, with achievements including increased revenue, patient satisfaction, and network quality.

As a Veteran Affairs Channel product owner, I expanded B2B connections, fostering relationships with various service providers. I developed new payer and contracting relationships with insurance vendors, contracted 26 VAMCU hubs, and managed the Community Care Provider Contract, resulting in $3.4M ratification of revenue. Notably, I achieved a 609% revenue increase in SUD codes within 10 months. My leadership extended to TPA contracting, VA process implementation, and training across the organization, including onboarding for AN Managers, and error assessments to enhance performance and processes. My role was pivotal in ensuring efficient, compliant, and revenue-driven operations in Veteran Affairs and Insurance Verification.
