Polygon.io provides financial market data to people around the world through easy to use APIs. 
- Given designs from our product team, I created multiple new products for Polygon, this ranged from creating new websocket endpoints to adding new product lines like Indices and flatfiles; our raw csv data product.
- Successfully reduced technical debt associated with our data pipelines by transitioning from schedule-based jobs to event-driven workflows, predominantly leveraging Argo Workflows. This transformation resulted in an impressive reduction of missed files by over 80% and significantly slashed developer time spent on backfilling tasks.
- Leveraged Kafka and Elasticsearch to implement real-time data ingestion for our reference data product, resulting in a substantial 24-hour decrease in the time required to make data accessible to our customers..
- Elevated system reliability by fine-tuning Kubernetes resource allocation and proactively identifying and mitigating bottlenecks across various applications. Employed tools like pprof, Grafana, and Prometheus to ensure system resilience and optimal performance.

- Designed and Implemented data backfill tooling for a pre-production data pipeline. The backfilling tool reduced time to correct data quality issues by 70% allowing engineers not familiar with the pipelines infrastructure to take action without assistance from application points of contact. 
 - Designed and Implemented features to reduce data quality defects in RelativeSpeedienessScore pipeline; pipeline manages the logic and outputs for over 30 different product level attributes that service regions around the globe. This feature essentially eliminated data quality failures stemming from our application outputs.
 - Bridged the separation between internal applications, Automations within our defect investigation tool, and assisting scientists with investigations.   
 - Used puppeteer to create user experience automation to assist data scientists in finding and validating defects across customer detail and checkout pages.
 - Created a data streaming application using Kinesis to stream data from upstream data sources to downstream dependencies within DXG.
 - Worked with investigation teams to verify promise and pricing defects on the Amazon.com website application.
 - Programmatically deployed serverless infrastructure for our Automatic Agent and Mission Planning System applications using AWS CDK.

Built a fullstack application using React/TS and Django. Application gave military leaders the ability to track soldiers during holiday block leave.
