If you want to take your personal and business brand to the next level, you need to look at every aspect of your visuals - not just your branding, but your photography too.

And you need to work with a brand consultant who practices what they preach.

My original superhero shots are now three years old! I have a lot of affection for them, especially as they were taken two weeks after my mastectomy and just before I was going to find out if I needed chemotherapy or not (there are bandages under those T-shirts and I wanted the shots taken before I maybe lost my hair), so they really do represent for me, an inner strength and power. They were taken in my bedroom, by Kier Adair in an hour, and have served me well since I came back to work in May ‘24.

I’ll still use them as a part of my visual imagery (I’m not ready to let go quite yet!) and I’m still all about superpowering your business growth, but SuperSaps is growing up. I am speaking more and moving into the tech space with my AI platform BrandVisions.AI, so my visual imagery needed an update and upgrade.

Ally Berry specialises in creating images that show that evolution into your future vision. I met her when I spoke at Samantha Harman’s event last month, and what she does is similar to what I do for my clients: creating the future brand that you and your business become. 

The iconic red is still there, but the touches of superhero energy are sometimes a little bit more subtle.

My Wednesday was wild and I think I must be a little bit of a machine!

2-4:30pm - an invitation to the gorgeous Laura Brunton & Jeff Brunton’s Christmas get together. 

5pm - dinner with Matt Hughes 👑 🎬 and friends (I didn’t take any photos here)

6:30 - caught up with loads of friends from Andrew Pickering and Pete Gartland’s ATOMIC world and my KPI world at Daniel Priestley’s new book launch and interview with Suman Randhawa. Didn’t manage to get pics with the guys again as it was so crowded, but I did get my face on a cake pic, and thankfully didn’t have to eat my own face as a random man sat next to me offered to eat it instead 🤣🤣🤣.

9:30 - onto Lea 🌈 Turner’s incredible Christmas party for The HoLT. I honestly love it so much it’s almost worth the price of the annual membership alone. Karaoke, a DJ, photographer, drinks, food, magician, doughnuts and handmade gift bags for everyone - made by Lea and her son Dex ❤️ … and just the most beautiful people in the most welcoming atmosphere. Go High Level Experts were the sponsors, so thank you to them too. 

Kudos to Laura and Jeff who did all three parties as well as travel down and get a photo shoot in too!

Thursday night, I managed to drag myself out to an AI event in Chiswick, but I’ll talk about that in a different post. 

Shattered doesn’t even touch the sides but it was fantastic and I really loved every minute.

Have you ever beaten that record (without illegal help!)?

When I worked in corporate, Mondays were always my least favourite day of the week. 

Even though I love what I do now, there’s something quite decadent about having a Monday off. I’ve spent four days with my mum since Friday and it’s been so lovely.

She lives five hours away from me so this is a real luxury. We’ve been chilling, chatting, cooking, playing Scrabble, watching telly, I  took her shopping for some new shoes and slippers (they have sequins all over them!) and we had a family gathering for a delayed celebration of my brother’s 50th.

My elder son Luc came to join us on Saturday and he is travelling back down with me today (he has an inset day). 

I haven’t had a selfie with my mum yet this trip, so a previous one will have to do.

No Brand Spotlight today (it’ll be back next week) - and I will be giving you some type geekery then in advance of BrandVisions.AI coming out!

This time last year I was in a sad place. 

Today I’m not.

I was finding things hard after two years off work (IYKYK).

I joined Lea 🌈 Turner’s The HoLT to help me out of my fug as it seemed full of very cool and lovely people. 

Since then, I've used it as an instant trust marker.

"Oh you're in the HoLT too?!" (BIG TICK!)

And the Christmas party alone makes membership worth it. I miss the big parties of my media career - this has the same buzzy vibe!

It's also where I first met my sister in red, Christine Gritmon on the karaoke mic (and now I'm speaking at her event Higher Voltage on Jan 22. - Get £50 with SAPNAPIEROUX at check out. But I digress.)

At that party, I felt connection and joy again for the first time in a long time.

A follow-up HoLT karaoke night brought the same joy. I realised it wasn’t just the HoLT - it was the karaoke too!

I spoke to Lea about my idea for karaoke networking and she gave me the encouragement I needed to go for it…

I floated out that evening, feeling lighter than I'd felt in ages. Excited. Happy. Hopeful again.

And so The NotWorkers was born and it has been bringing joy to others since May this year. 

Quite a few HoLTies have been to the nights too, and have become good friends - special shout outs to Simon Bostock, Sandra L., Charlotte Fowles and Christine (obvs).

I've also brought some delightful people into the HoLT via Backdoor Barry (Victoria Seed and Sophie Carne 🌻 who I met at one of my nights and is now joining me on The NotWorkers!). 

Like the HoLT:

No knobs/dickheads allowed
We are both hugely protective of our tribe
We are also incredibly inclusive
It’s not about the size of your business - it’s the quality of the human being that matters.

Getting me out of my fug helped me get BrandVisions.AI out of my head and into production too! 

So, this year I’m in a much happier place.

Today, I will be at an event with Laura Brunton, then onto dinner with Matt Hughes 👑 🎬, onto Daniel Priestley’s book launch as part of Andrew Pickering, Pete Gartland and Suman Randhawa’s Maverick’s crew and then onto the HoLT Christmas Party.

That will be 12 hours of peopling.

SQUEALL! It’s our last *SOLD OUT* event of 2025 for The NotWorkers - Countdown to Christmas Karaoke (Get Your Bublé On!) tomorrow. 

'Sold out' means 25 people - at smaller events you can actually get to connect with everyone in the room. It's a format that's working as real friendships are blossoming and business is happening and it gives me the warm fuzzies, it really does :) 

The community is buzzing with new connections, people reconnecting after years, judgements on song choices (in a good way!) and I can't wait to see both regulars and newbies. 

But today, a trip up to Manchester, catch up with old workmates (from myChrysalis Radio era) and then tomorrow will be Andrew Pickering and Pete Gartland's ATOMIC strategy day. I'll be leaving early though to get on the mic that evening in London - phew! 

2026 karaoke dates are 22 Jan and Feb 12, plus a Traitors LIVE experience in March and the human ray of sunshine that is Sophie Carne 🌻 is joining me to grow what is becoming one of the coolest AND warmest networking groups on the planet.
