Here’s the problem with attribution:

1. I know of a business because I’ve followed the founder for years on twitter

2. Convo with friends around the topic

3. I don’t have link, so go to google to get link - accidentally hit sponsored link

4. Send link anyway

5. Friend applies for membership - it’ll be a low five figure a year thing

6. Business will see he clicked through Google ad

7. Attribute lead to Google ads

Reader, the Google ad did nothing, the twitter account did everything, and attribution will show the opposite.

Western University

As the Administrative Assistant, I work closely with the Manager of Administration and Finance (MAF) to support the efficient functioning of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry. My role involves providing high-level administrative support to the Director of Continuing Medical Education (CME), the Co-Chairs of Research, and vital departmental committees. I also assist with organizing educational events and managing department communications. 

Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support for CME & Research Programs: Coordinate the scheduling and preparation of agendas, minutes, and logistical support for meetings, academic events, and Grand Rounds. Organize guest speakers, including travel arrangements and honorariums.
Event Coordination: Manage the planning and execution of major academic events such as the annual Southwestern Ontario Obstetrics & Gynaecology Update (HH Allen Day) and Research Day. Manage venue booking, registration, tech support, catering, financial and sponsor coordination.
Website & Newsletter Management: Maintained some aspects of the department's website content and worked towards producing monthly newsletters with academic updates.
- Acuity STAR & Reporting:  Aware of data entry and reporting in the Acuity STAR system for faculty contributions to research, teaching, and service. Assisted with promotion and tenure processes by ensuring the accuracy of academic records. An enjoyable, extensive portion of my role early on. 
-Collaboration: Worked closely with Program Assistants to support exams, teaching activities, and event logistics. Collaborated with Schulich's CME office for program accreditation, such as scholarships and events.
Scope & Decision Making:
Operated independently to handle routine administrative matters and escalate as needed. Balanced multiple priorities through deep work to meet compliance with departmental processes.

Administrative Assistant CME, Research

As an Administrative Assistant for the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at SSMD, I provided comprehensive administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of academic programs, events, and faculty activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Calendar & Correspondence Management: Managed schedules, meetings, and correspondence for the Chair-Chief and Manager of Administration & Finance (MAF), ensuring effective coordination and priority handling of appointments and communications.

Event Planning & Coordination: Organized key academic events, including guest speaker sessions, research days, and departmental social events. I handled logistics such as catering, accommodations, and travel arrangements for participants to ensure seamless event execution.

Committee Support: Prepared agendas, took minutes, and coordinated logistics for departmental committees. I managed the documentation process for faculty appointments, promotions, and reappointments, ensuring timely completion and adherence to departmental guidelines.

On-Call Schedule Oversight: Maintained and updated on-call schedules for clinicians and residents, resolved scheduling conflicts, and collaborated with hospital staff to ensure smooth on-call operations.

Website & Newsletter Maintenance: Regularly updated the department’s website and drafted monthly newsletters, ensuring accurate information dissemination to faculty, staff, and residents.

Administrative Support for Programs: Assisted in proctoring exams, preparing exam materials, setting up teaching activities, and downloading evaluation data, ensuring the smooth operation of academic programs.

Through this role, I developed strong organizational, communication, and event management skills, supporting faculty and clinicians in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

Department Administrative Assistant

London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC)

Adapted my management and organizational skills with my recent administrative training to progressively maintain day-to-day tasks of scheduling and staffing within a hospital framework.

Working in healthcare is not easy. In the past year, I have transitioned into a second department that is more of a temperament incubator- The ER. The Medicine Dept manages a high volume of staffing roles across the two hospitals, University and Victoria. 

The skills I matured into while in medicine are invaluable and they have carried me well into the smaller but more temperamental environment. 
-Ability to adapt to changing information and scheduling as a part-time staff
-Mitigating social engagement and working styles -Understanding the affects of environmental stimuli on my psyche to advocate for varying learning methods. 
-Profound customer service and relationship-building
-Improving digital organizational system 
-High level of problem-solving skills 
-High level of managing emotional intelligence, professionalism and teamwork ability
-High level of reviewing all data to ensure it is concise, detailed and uniform to the team's method. 
-Time Management is a learning style to manage against co-working spaces
-Detailed and keyword-focused systematic routine for shared documents
-Assessing work culture with management strategies and actions 
-Managing personal observations and individual perspectives within a high-intensity environment
-Learning to use wisdom, self-talk and ingenuity in a way that highlights my strengths to foster mentorship and to be heard and seen. 

The takeaway I hold now the ability to purposefully balancing my work environment and personal health.

Staffing Clerk

Through my own workplace experience while working in Medicine Dept. I reached out to the office of Inclusion, Diversity and Social Justice for encouragement and more involvement within the organization.I was curious about the department, this courageous act fostered a growing relationship with the leaders there. Through a series of collaborative conversations, and continuing dialogue, I was thought of for a new endeavour. 
The skills I took away or further developed from this vendor application process were the following: 
- strategic researching companies and persons for key elements
-time management in reviewing information, and deciphering key points after processing large documents. 
- Illuminating the candidates in the role sought to quantify their experiences against the company environment and expectations. 
- learning to ask for financial compensation for my time and knowledge
- Identifying key questions to assess candidates that highlighted a blindspot for both the person, company and role's environment.
- Speaking on analytical areas in regard to pinpointing the values and strategies required for candidates in the role
 -Acutely providing technical support on utilizing the database, and navigational help in the digital framework used to process this application.

The takeaway from this experience was the validity of possessing a plethora of knowledge and experience to inform towards DEI change and progression within varying environments. I am eagerly interested in working in this space as it is in alignment with my value system. It is a adaptive gateway to work in Learning and Development, another area of interest that naturally utilizes my strengths.

Anchored my business with my recent Web Development program knowledge. Through my Paro connections, I joined a writing/publishing group and became a member of a circle with other like-minded businesswomen, where I am the treasurer. I took the time to migrate programming languages from my coursework to the foundational platforms for my publishing and curation business. I created my own art collective and created a database to communicate and grow our content. I used project management tools and undertook various analytics to create functioning networking groups in business, writing and art.
