  - Converted 60,000 lines of Chaiscript to C++11, ensuring all balance / decimal accuracy during the update

  - Participated in service-based architecture design, learned professional git usage under an AGILE / SCRUM team

- worked with Simmetrix Inc. and NASA to enable CFD shock feature detection, boundary layering, and solve loops in FEM aerospace simulations using the FUN3D solve engine
  - wrote a finite-element mesh and geometric model transfer library to enable parallel in-memory solve/adapt loops for the Sandia Labs Trilinos Users Group, including the AthenaVMS and Albany teams
  - maintained several C++ SVN repositories, responded to customer software tickets, wrote new complimentary meshing tools
  -  trained undergrad / grad students and helped them integrate into the research group

Post-Doc Research Associate

UNM Spatiotemporal Cell Pathology Group

- wrote a  Tcl/TK/R spatial statistics calculator for  quantifying spatial clustering, co-clustering, and randomness in point patterns, supporting both linux and Windows operating systems
  - protein pathway characterization via spatial analysis of gold nanoparticles attached to surface proteins on lysed cancer cell membrane, my tool was used by lab scientists all over the world.

Software Engineer (Undergrad Research, Cont'd in Grad School)

- Crystallographic analysis of semiconductor nanostructures formed via plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition, atomic modeling of lattices and surface reconstructions, advanced crystal formalism and theory.
  -  extended this research to model evolution of crystal shape during both bounded and solvated growth and extrapolation of surface energies for correlation to quantum density field theory predictions
  - interpretation and prediction of dynamic crystal growth, nanoparticle toxicity studies

Research Assistant (Grad School Lab Rotation #1)

- constructed the main (IGBT-based) pulsed power unit to supply 1 kA current pulses for the Helcat plasma device, and an accompanying 1 F capacitor bank.
  - did purchasing, built cooling, cabling, and chamber hardware, and programmed the PIC microcontroller system.

Research Assistant (Undergrad Employment)

UNM Advanced Materials Laboratory, Brinker Nanostructures Research Group

- implemented the classical Flory-Huggins polymer/solvent interaction potentials into the Large-Scale Atomic-Molecular Massively Parallel Simulator (LAMMPS)
  - DEM simulations of "soft-particle" colloids with polymer, electrohydrodynamic, and phase-interface forces
  - developed a tool to perform grazing-incidence small-angle x-ray spectroscopy (GISAXS) intensity plots in-silico, and a tool to statistically quantify clustering vs. randomness in 3D distributions of particles.
  -  post-doc here to implement polydisperse system simulations and complete documentation and a tutorial

I'm putting myself out there, as someone seeking full-time employment right now. I have never seen the job market this crazy in all my life. I've applied for so many roles and gotten so few interviews, and no offers for 6 months. I've done interviews with AI bots, I've used AI to write my resume (bad idea), and I have even used AI to help get bartending gigs to try and make ends meet.  I'm learning to code with Claude Code, taking fundamentals of AI courses from Stanford online, trying to learn enough quantitative finance, but I'm running out of time, quickly.

I'm a senior software engineer with deep experience in Ruby-on-Rails, Javascript/NodeJS/ReactJS. I've done pixel-perfect front-end work including 3D animation, market visualization, secure API design, tons of payment platform work. I've managed networks of servers on baremetal and in the cloud, and I've even done supercomputing research on some of the strongest computers on Earth.

If anyone in my network can give me a referral for a new role, please, now is the time. I'm eager to get back to work and I deliver superior quality software.
