My impact has never been about coaching individuals or tweaking tactics. My work is catalytic, systemic, and deeply human. I know that much of what we call “leadership” was built on models drawn from colonial hierarchies, military discipline, and patriarchal control. Our structures often mirror command-and-control regimes—not collaborative democracies. And the foundational theories of psychology and organizational development—many brilliant, yes—also carry legacies of exclusion, extraction, and epistemic violence.

So my practice is as much about remembering as it is about reimagining.

I listen for what’s been forgotten: the inner signal beneath the organizational noise, the humanity beneath the metrics, the wisdom that was deemed “woo woo” yet still carries truth. I draw from systems thinking, group process theory, adult development, and participatory leadership practices. But I interrogate every model I use. Because no tool is neutral—and no system should go unexamined.

I specialize in working with boards, executive teams, and founders who are ready to do real work—not just strategic planning, but strategic unlearning.

As Lead Instructor, I deliver an immersive and integrative curriculum on Emotional Intelligence and Emotional Literacy, specifically designed for coaches seeking to deepen their inner condition and expand their impact. My approach moves beyond surface-level models of EQ and into the living practice of self-awareness, attunement, and relational integrity.

I guide students through a rigorous, soul-rooted exploration of emotional presence, psychological safety, and the inner architecture of trust. Drawing on neuroscience, systems theory, and culturally grounded leadership frameworks, I challenge future coaches to go beyond empathy as performance and into empathy as practice.

The course blends science with self-inquiry, focusing on the development of emotional range, signal discernment, and the embodiment of leadership congruence. As part of a diverse team of coaching practitioners at Arden Coaching, I’ve helped deliver highly customized leadership development solutions to individuals and teams across sectors. My work has included designing and facilitating both training experiences and executive coaching engagements for organizations such as Coyote (A UPS Company), Turner Construction, United Nations Federal Credit Union, American Thrombosis and Hemostasis Network (ATHN), and Checkmarx.

Over the past seven years, I’ve trained more than 500 emerging leaders at a rapidly growing global construction firm, coached rising talent and senior executives, and co-designed a scalable management skills curriculum that continues to evolve. I’ve worked with credit unions, distributed fintech teams, and cross-functional groups to enhance team effectiveness, foster healthy conflict engagement, and leverage creative tension for innovation.

In my time as Interim Board Chair, I led a strategic shift in board governance to match the evolving needs of our students, educators, and city. I transitioned board operations to a fully digital platform, increasing engagement, transparency, and real-time collaboration. I spearheaded board recruitment with a focus on equity and representation, building a leadership team that mirrors the diversity of the communities we serve.

Working in close partnership with Executive Director Jennifer Steele and a revitalized board, we shifted our funding model toward sustainability and broke the $1 million revenue milestone for the first time in the organization’s history (FY23). Together, we laid the groundwork for a more inclusive, resilient, and future-ready organization—one where every student can find their voice and every voice has a place in shaping what’s next.

Founding Member of PwC’s Leadership Coaching Center of Excellence (LC CoE)

As one of the original 12 executive coaches selected to launch PwC’s first-ever internal Leadership Coaching Center of Excellence (LC CoE), I helped establish a groundbreaking model for leadership development within the firm. This initiative positioned PwC ahead of its Big Four peers by embedding coaching as a strategic capability across the organization.  ￼

The LC CoE eventually expanded to include 27 credentialed coaches who, in a single fiscal year, delivered over 3,800 hours of one-on-one coaching and more than 7,000 hours of group coaching to high-potential staff. Our efforts contributed to a significant reduction in voluntary turnover and enhanced leadership effectiveness firm-wide.  ￼

Championing Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives

Beyond coaching, I contributed to the strategic planning, development and implementation of programs aimed at supporting African-American employees within PwC. These initiatives focused on fostering a sense of belonging, expanding professional networks, and providing career navigation support.￼

Senior Manager, Leadership Coaching Center of Excellence

Selected as one of the inaugural 60 coaches to co-lead PwC’s award-winning Discover program, I supported the firm’s next generation of leaders through a highly immersive and multi-modal coaching experience. This initiative—designed for senior associates on the cusp of managerial promotion—was a standout in the Big Four ecosystem for its scale, intimacy, and commitment to whole-person leadership development.

Over the course of three consecutive years, before being hired into the firm, I:
	•	Coached and facilitated over 200 high-potential senior associates, combining pre-event virtual coaching, a full week of on-site group facilitation in Southern California, and post-event integration support.
	•	Led several cohorts per year in small groups of 10, deepening leadership insight through themes such as energy management, storytelling, goal-setting, emotional intelligence, personal advisory board creation—and yes, even infusing joy and confidence-building through teaching the “Dougie.”
	•	Contributed to the iterative design and delivery of the program, offering regular feedback, feedforward, and co-learning with fellow coaches to continuously elevate impact and relevance in a rapidly evolving professional context.
	•	Helped shape a culture of vulnerability and aspiration within a traditionally metrics-driven environment, showing emerging leaders how to access their inner compass and lead with clarity and authenticity.

The Discover experience was a hallmark of PwC’s leadership pipeline strategy from 2011 to 2019, and I’m proud to have been part of the founding cohort that brought the firm’s vision for people-powered leadership to life.

Served as a strategic liaison between Abbott’s marketing division and its digital creative vendors, ensuring that all digital assets—from websites to iPad apps—met regulatory standards and internal quality benchmarks. Collaborated cross-functionally with regulatory teams to vet emerging digital marketing materials, integrating strategic planning, technology and compliance into a streamlined review process.

In a complex environment where pharmaceutical marketing, tech innovation, and compliance converge, I contributed to the integrity of both user experience and brand standards. One of my most impactful initiatives was leading the transition of printed product indication leaflets into a fully digital, HTML-native format. This innovation was embedded directly into the production lifecycle, eliminating the need for redundant file conversions and significantly reducing costs across printing, design, and change management processes. The transformation saved the company an estimated $750,000 annually.

This role deepened my understanding of organizational systems, cross-departmental workflows, and the hidden costs of outdated processes—lessons that continue to inform how I support leaders and teams today in building cultures that are not only operating in integrity, but coherent, efficient, and adaptable.
