As Design Director at Next Games, I lead all facets of game design—including Gameplay, Narrative, UX, Sound, and Economy. I’m responsible not only for the quality and excellence of our games, but also for nurturing the people behind them.

My role spans creative direction, team development, and cross-discipline collaboration. I oversee hiring, training, and career growth for the entire design organization, ensuring our designers are thriving in their craft. I work closely with fellow Directors in Art, Product, and Engineering to align vision, process, and priorities across teams.

My current focus is on creative process—making games with love. That means fostering a studio culture where passion, polish, and the elusive "juice" are core ingredients in everything we build. I believe in delivering meaningful, joyful experiences to players, and empowering our teams to grow, experiment, and create at their best.

Worked as the Studio Mobile Creative Director overseeing all efforts on mobile platforms. 

Worked directly with South Park Phone Destroyer, to extend the life of the game and increase player engagement/retention through events and social interactions.

• Design Director for all things “Age of Empires”
• Oversaw several “Age of Empire” SKUs, both internal and external (Mobile, Tablet, Next Gen, PC)
• High level design concepts on initial game features and requirements (including pillars and core audience) for all “Age of Empire” SKUs.
• Requested to work closely with Gas Powered Games on “Age of Empires Online” to make major adjustments on the game to support the correct business model as well as the overall player experience
• Help build a 5-10 year plan for “Age of Empires”, focusing on the strengths of the franchise, as well as expanding it to new genres
• Interim Lead Designer for an unannounced internal mobile game

• Design Director for “Guardians of Middle Earth” and multiple internal titles.
• Vision Holder and Presenter of the game to WB execs and the team. Generate game development documentation tailored to the customers internally and externally.
• Drive game vision and requirements into the Design team.  Facilitate communications of Design requirements to other disciplines and departments. Ensure clear and concise design requirements, goals and any dependent features throughout the game.
• Built, managed and mentored a team of up to 14 Designers, including direct reports, performance reviews, career development and resolving personality conflicts.
• Managed Design teams for multiple AAA titles.
• Built engine and core game features that served as a strong foundation for the studio therefore enabled its ability to develop games in several genres.
• Work closely with Marketing, PR and Community teams to help shape messages, game demos, create promotional videos, and give guidance on value propositions and marketing positions.
• Create a game that meets and pushes Player Engagement, focused on needs, satisfaction, and relatedness.
• Work with external devs on mobile companion game and app. Operate in a consulting capacity to ensure the external team was able to hit dates and be successful in the launch of their title.
• Member of Extended Leadership (WB Seattle Counsel).
• Member of the Due Diligence Team to evaluate outside teams and companies.
