Then I changed how I format. Not what I say.
My 4-phase formatting system that fixed everything:

Phase 1: Kill the Wall

Your content dies in the first 3 seconds.

Not because it's bad.
Because it looks hard to read.

The scroll test:
- Thumb moves at lightning speed
- Brain decides in milliseconds
- Dense text = instant skip

Your enemy isn't bad ideas.
It's visual friction.

Phase 2: The White Space Rule

Every 1-2 lines, hit enter twice.

Not once. Twice.

This creates breathing room:
↳ Eyes can rest between thoughts
↳ Brain processes faster
↳ Readers stay longer

Compare these:

"I learned formatting matters more than I thought it would and now I structure everything differently because people actually read my posts when I add space between ideas."

vs.

"I learned formatting matters.

More than the ideas themselves.

Now people actually read my posts."

Same message. Different survival rate.

Phase 3: Build Your Skim Path

Most people don't read. They scan.

Give them a path:

1. Break lists into bullets
2. Use numbers for steps
3. Add arrows for sub-points (↳)
4. Bold key phrases sparingly

The pattern:
↳ Hook them with the first line
↳ Guide their eyes down the page
↳ Make every line earn its space

If a sentence doesn't add value, delete it.

Phase 4: The Engagement Multiplier

Well-spaced posts get 3x more comments.

Because people finish reading them.

My formatting checklist before I hit post:
- No paragraph over 2 lines
- White space after every thought
- Lists always use bullets
- One idea per line

The goal isn't pretty formatting.
It's making people want to read to the end.

Just decisions.

The kind that don’t look impressive.

This is the part no one romanticises.

Where you realise:

• Consistency is wildly underrated

And somehow… this is where everything starts to work.

Early on, opinions feel like fuel.
They give you momentum.
They make you feel seen.

But eventually, building anything meaningful requires a very specific skill:
selective deafness.

Because too many voices don’t make you smarter.
They make you slower.

And let’s be honest 
a good chunk of advice is just someone else projecting their fear, timeline, or unfinished ideas onto you.

Helpful? Sometimes.
Necessary? Not always.

Growth isn’t loud.
It’s not dramatic.
It doesn’t announce itself.

It looks like showing up quietly.
Choosing again.
Ignoring perfectly reasonable advice because it doesn’t fit your context.

So if things feel quieter lately…
If you’re less reactive, more intentional…
If you’re building without explaining every move 

You’re not stuck.
You’re not behind.
You’re not missing anything.

You’re focused.

And focus, honestly, is a superpower.
