Hi! I'm Nadine - Strategy Partner at Tangent.

Tangent is a 100-strong team of strategists, designers and engineers helping our clients ship innovative digital products faster.

I help define the product strategy and experience across the agency's brand portfolio, developing digital solutions that meet both business requirements and customer needs.  

Throughout my career I have gained 15 years of experience in both B2B and B2C digital marketing sectors, giving me a deep understanding of customer journeys through the range of (ever-evolving) digital channels.

I pride myself on being honest, practical and hardworking, taking my work seriously but having a laugh along the way.

Contract assignment with the digital team at the branding agency. Analysed and presented options to organise site content and user journeys for a global investment organisation, to align with their rebranding proposals. Provided UX and strategic mentorship for the agency digital team.

Lead UX Designer

Economist Impact

Led and managed the UX Strategy team, as part of the cross functional Innovation and Product team, at The Economist Group’s commercial partnership venture focused on critical global issues including sustainability, healthcare and new globalisation. 

Devised phased proposals to organise the architecture of Economist Impact’s own digital estate, to increase engagement and attract partnership opportunities. Included competitor analysis and insights from data. 

Devised and launched online surveys to gain target audience insight. 

Planned and directed research activities for a platform to help businesses reduce their Scope 3 carbon emissions.  

Developed an online survey and strategic audience engagement proposals on the topic of health inclusivity for the Health Inclusivity Index, developed in partnership with consumer healthcare company Haleon.

Drafted proposals on how to incorporate managed community features across Economist Impact's digital estate, based on discovery activities including competitor analysis and vendor research. 

Advocated and promoted user-centred design processes within the Economist Impact business unit.

Digital UX Strategy Lead

Radical Path

Helped growing startups to develop their positioning, branding and product strategy at this independent experience innovation agency. 

Developed go-to-market and product strategy proposals for supplier discovery platform Scoutbee, to better position new and existing products for customer needs.

Defined and documented brand attributes for the launch of employee communications platform Haiilo, including brand personality, values, messaging and tone of voice.

Senior Experience Strategist

Inviqa

Led and directed research, analysis, and design activities, and provided strategic guidance for clients from validated research insights. Transitioned to the new Inviqa experience design team with Webcredible colleagues following the integration of the two agencies. 

Validated a new payment product proposal for Visa through customer research, analysis and testing, interviewing 21 research participants across four demographic segments to understand their attitudes to money management. 

Proposed improvements to the categorisation and tagging of products for Moonpig’s website, to better surface the online retailer's range of products.

Ran stakeholder workshops, interviewed travellers, and showed IAG Loyalty how customers perceive the value of their Avios points and why their proposition needs to align more closely with customer goals from research insights. 

Designed a new content and thought leadership section for The Office Group (TOG) website, having researched the behaviour of TOG's customers when consuming online content.

Facilitated stakeholder workshops with BFBS (British Forces Broadcasting Services) and demonstrated how content should be organised across two new websites.

Worked alongside in-house UX and product teams at utilities provider SSE on retainer, running experience mapping workshops, usability testing and accessibility testing.

Lead UX Consultant

Webcredible, part of Inviqa

Lead role at the specialist UX agency, working closely with stakeholders and in-house teams (often on site). Facilitated workshops, undertook research, created and tested prototypes. Contributed to the agency’s UX training programme. Joined soon after Webcredible’s acquisition by Inviqa.

Redesigned Tesco’s supplier entry process with the in-house product team and identified further opportunities to transform the end-to-end supplier set-up journey.  

Studied the behaviour of furniture shoppers and undertook extensive research activities to show retailer ScS why they should join up their online and offline customer journeys. 

Identified opportunities to attract new supporters to the Canal & River Trust by better promoting their environmental activities online and on social media.

Experience Lead

SYZYGY

Played a key role in a small UX team that helped to plan and deliver multiple ongoing projects at the WPP full service agency.

Ongoing engagement with Mazda on projects for markets including UK, Europe, Australia and Japan. Worked closely with senior stakeholders on the redesign of Mazda Europe’s digital platform for 23 local markets. Mapped complex processes, designed the information architecture, integrated brand narrative with product information, designed key site areas and user journeys to simplify both the buyer and owner experience.  

Designed CMS templates and components for Kyocera Digital Solutions’ new platform to create a content-driven experience for the company’s consultancy services.  

Devised onboarding instructions and navigation for Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 mobile virtual reality experience.

Researched the behaviour of fashion shoppers for Primark to validate proposals to encourage socially-engaged customers to share content while in store. Drafted strategic proposals to engage customers across digital touchpoints. 

Designed a customer-focussed iPad app for Carlsberg to digitally transform the B2B sales experience.

Ran a weekly lunchtime UX Club to coach agency colleagues in user-centred design through self-generated projects.

Senior User Experience Consultant

Saatchi & Saatchi

Senior member of a small UX team within the digital creative team.

Developed project proposals and UX deliverables with the agency’s creative strategists, including a proposed Food Tinder app for Weight Watchers.

User journeys and online interactions for Mattessons’ F.R.H.A.N.K. AI robot campaign. 
 
Presented internally and to clients about the value of UX design.

Clients also included Deutsche Telekom and Direct Line.

Senior User Experience Designer

Instinct Studios

Senior UX working in teams with multiple UX designers at this fintech company specialising in UX, UI and product development for financial services. 

Audited financial and cross-industry sites for features and usability, and provided detailed reports with recommendations for best practices.

Undertook research into the car insurance quote process for AXA and Swiftcover. Developed proposals for a new quote form with the project team, which was integrated into the AXA and Swiftcover car insurance sites. 

Developed successful pitch proposals for the new WealthSelect managed fund range site for Old Mutual Wealth, seeing the project through from requirements workshops to rapid prototyping and launch.
