Hi! I'm Nadine - Strategy Partner at Tangent.

Tangent is a 100-strong team of strategists, designers and engineers helping our clients ship innovative digital products faster.

I help define the product strategy and experience across the agency's brand portfolio, developing digital solutions that meet both business requirements and customer needs.  

Throughout my career I have gained 15 years of experience in both B2B and B2C digital marketing sectors, giving me a deep understanding of customer journeys through the range of (ever-evolving) digital channels.

I pride myself on being honest, practical and hardworking, taking my work seriously but having a laugh along the way.

Lead product designer

JPMorgan Chase & Co.

I was part of a new Design Systems team, I was embedded within the private bank cross functional team. Which consisted of IA designers, UX designers, Product Owners and developers. My role was to ensure that the visual design was delivered to a high quality and that any new components created met all business/technical requirements. The design system team needed to take a more zoomed out approach when new components were required to make sure they were useful across the entire product not just one area of the application. 

As we were a new team I ran workshops with the designers, developers and product owners to discuss sign off processes and workflow to establish how components would be approved. 

I worked very closely with the developers to make sure that components were being built to spec and that all states and edge cases were accounted for.

Senior User Experience Designer

During my time at Tangent I broadened out my skills across the end-to-end product design process. Responsibilities included, running/supporting in client workshops, conducting user interviews and usability testing, creating personas and user flows, wire-framing, prototyping, brand development, high fidelity UI designs, component creation/documentation, setting up/maintaining design systems and presenting back to large groups of stakeholders.

I started to manage more junior members of the team, overseeing their work and providing feedback. I'd also help them with planning out the career goals and identifying their core strengths and areas they needed to work on.

I worked in a cross functional team of Strategists, UX designers, Researchers, BAs and project managers on a variety of projects. My role was primarily focused on visual design, design systems and user testing.

I was responsible for creating design concepts for how the client brand would work across the digital product. Working up wireframes into high fidelity designs ready for development. Presenting design concepts back to clients, creating and maintaining design systems, overseeing design work throughout development.

I was briefed to create two brand strategies that targeted protein at a new market. I firstly, researched what was going on broadly culturally, then narrowed my focus to the protein category and its current consumers. I was then able to identify a missed opportunity. I was responsible for the design, flow and layout of the deck which I presented to the strategy directors.

My role was to type set reports for corporate clients, this included annual and quarterly reports. Other responsibilities included editing and updating presentations, creating mock ups for the company website and clients, promotional materials such as posters.
