Hi! I'm Nadine - Strategy Partner at Tangent.

Tangent is a 100-strong team of strategists, designers and engineers helping our clients ship innovative digital products faster.

I help define the product strategy and experience across the agency's brand portfolio, developing digital solutions that meet both business requirements and customer needs.  

Throughout my career I have gained 15 years of experience in both B2B and B2C digital marketing sectors, giving me a deep understanding of customer journeys through the range of (ever-evolving) digital channels.

I pride myself on being honest, practical and hardworking, taking my work seriously but having a laugh along the way.

- Exec producer & host of Space Hero: the podcast: a fly-on-the-wall audio series following Space Hero, the start-up that’s creating the ultimate global show; where contestants compete to win a trip to space.
- Identifying story arcs, conducting interviewing, script writing, voice-over, editing archive audio and managing podcast distribution platforms.

- ‘Talk to the Moon’ was an AI conversational experience designed to make users feel like they are on a date with a therapist… who just happens to be the moon.  
- As lead writer, I oversaw story production, user flows and script writing. ‘Luna’ was gender non-conforming, insatiably curious and able to answer all sorts of questions about life, the universe and everything in between.   
- Luna lived on the WeTransfer homepage and travelled around the UK with the Tour to Moon & Unboxed 22

Talk to the Moon was awarded a Silver Lovie Award for the category of Websites: Best Responsive/Adaptive Design, and received an honourable mention in the Creative Review Annual Awards for the Interactive Film & Virtual, Augmented or Mixed Reality category.

- Consultancy work in the run-up to launch of the BBC’s chat-bot, Beeb.
- Managing script-writers and advising on strategy, processes, content, tone & build.

- Producer and host of Radio 4 documentary Make Me A Programme exploring the limits of AI’s ability for creativity.
- Producer and presenter of two 60 minute documentaries on BBC Radio 1/ 1xtra: 'Everyday I'm Hustlin' on Radio 1: that explored the unusual economics behind how musicians make money which was 'pick of the day' in The Times and The Independent.
- And 'No homo: Hip Hop's last taboo' on BBC Radio 1xtra: looked at the lack of openly homosexual rappers in hip hop. Contributors included Mark Ronson, Estelle and Plan B, which won 'documentary of the day' in Sunday Times.

- EN-GB creative writer shaping the British personality of the Google Assistant, pre and post launch Part of the wider of the i18n Google Doodle team, tasked with bringing a human and culturally relevant touch to conversations with the Google Assistant, ensuring to be as locale specific as possible whilst appealing to a wide age demographic.
- Designed a multitude of conversations and delight experiences including games, trivia, personality quizzes and pop culture references.
- Collated research into British cultural norms with user data to define the character facets in the UK. -- Worked closely with internal teams and global stakeholders across Google including engineers, legal, marketing, features, Doodlers (home page artists) and the Empathy lab.
- Liaising with VUI and TTS teams to ensure speech is delivered with the right prosody, tone and comprehension. Often going to studio records to ensure so.
- Other tasks included GB style-guide creation and a 20% style podcast experiments with the British character.

Creative UX/ VUI Writer, Google Assistant

Apple

- One of 12 hosts that launched Apple music's radio station Beats 1, broadcasting live to over 100 countries 2-3 times a week on apple devices.
- Duties included script research, writing, package editing, collating daily news bulletins and driving the desk.
