In this piece, we explored how artificial intelligence is transforming the IT sector and redefining the role of programmers in today’s labor market. 

Our joint analysis highlights that AI does not eliminate programming as a profession, but rather reshapes it. The future of the field will depend more on analytical thinking, system design, and strategic insight than on routine code writing.

Draft Social Security Law in Jordan

Jordan is at a critical crossroads.
With 50% of the population under 30, Social Security is not just a pension system. It is a pillar of national stability and intergenerational justice.
In my second article, I argue that actuarial balance alone is not enough. Reform must be linked to job creation, youth inclusion, governance transparency, and protection of acquired rights. Partial fixes will only delay deeper structural risks.
Sustainable reform means protecting today’s retirees, strengthening today’s workforce, and securing tomorrow’s generation.

indicator of maturity for government technology

الاقتصاد الجديد ليس ترفاً فكرياً بل ضرورة استراتيجية

لم يعد النقاش الاقتصادي يدور فقط حول نسب النمو أو حجم الاستثمار. السؤال الأهم اليوم هو كيف ننتج، وكيف نستهلك، وكيف نحافظ على مواردنا في ظل ضغوط المناخ وشح المياه وارتفاع كلفة الطاقة.
النموذج التقليدي الذي ساد لعقود اعتمد على معادلة خطية واضحة: استخراج الموارد، تصنيعها، استهلاكها، ثم التخلص من المخلفات. هذا النموذج حقق توسعاً اقتصادياً سريعاً، لكنه خلق فجوة بيئية عميقة وكلفة طويلة الأجل تتحملها الأجيال القادمة.

اليوم نشهد تحولا في التفكير الاقتصادي عبر ثلاثة مفاهيم مترابطة:

أولاً الاقتصاد الأخضر
هو نموذج يربط بين النمو وتقليل الانبعاثات ورفع كفاءة استخدام الموارد وتحقيق العدالة الاجتماعية. الاستثمار في الطاقة المتجددة أو النقل المستدام أو الأبنية الخضراء ليس خياراً بيئياً فقط، بل قراراً اقتصادياً يعزز التنافسية ويخفض الاعتماد على الاستيراد ويخلق وظائف جديدة.

ثانياً الاقتصاد الأزرق
يركز على الاستخدام المستدام للموارد البحرية والمائية. من الصيد المنظم إلى السياحة البيئية والطاقة البحرية، الفكرة ليست في استنزاف البحر بل في إدارته كمصدر دخل طويل الأجل. حماية النظم البيئية البحرية لم تعد مسؤولية بيئية فحسب، بل سياسة اقتصادية رشيدة.

ثالثاً الاقتصاد الدائري
ينتقل بنا من مفهوم خذ واصنع وارم إلى مفهوم صمم وأعد استخدام وأعد تدوير. النفايات تتحول إلى مدخلات إنتاج. إصلاح المنتجات بدلاً من استبدالها، وإعادة تدوير المواد، وتصميم سلاسل توريد مغلقة، كلها تقلل الكلفة وترفع كفاءة الموارد.

الفرق الجوهري أن الاقتصاد التقليدي يركز على تعظيم الإنتاج قصير الأجل، بينما هذه النماذج تركز على استدامة القيمة على المدى الطويل.
التحول ليس بيئياً فقط، بل استراتيجي. الدول التي تعيد هيكلة سياساتها الصناعية والطاقوية وفق هذه المفاهيم تضع نفسها في موقع تنافسي أفضل في عالم تتغير قواعده بسرعة.
