Apparently, that’s what the next weeks look like.

That’s what people hear when I say: Cape Town.

Same city.
Very different assumptions.

Some see a holiday.
Some see danger.
Some see safari.
Some see endless networking events.

I see work.
Just in a different location.

Location isn’t a job description.

Sometimes I even feel a bit uncomfortable saying I’m going to Cape Town.
Not because it’s a holiday but because people hear one.

For me, it’s actually the opposite.

At home, life is full and very offline.
Commuting.
In-person meetings.
Events.
Social obligations.

All good things and all pulling attention in different directions.

Cape Town is a clean cut.

Different rhythm.
Fewer obligations.
Less to manage.

And because of that, more focus.

It’s where I step back, reset, and make sure I’m working on the right things, not just reacting to the urgent ones.
Especially at the end of the year, that clarity matters.

Different place.

Efficiency Hack!
This small hack saved me hours.

I spend a lot of time in meetings.
Clients, partners, new leads.

For each of them I use different calendar links:
- 15 minutes
- 30 minutes
- 60 minutes
- 90 minutes

I track all of them in my CRM.
I see where leads come from and what calls convert.

But I had one problem.

I kept searching for the right link.
In notes. In email. In my browser.

Until I set up one tiny system.

I use Apple text replacement on iPhone and Mac.
I created short codes I can type anywhere:

- “boostli15” → 15 minute link
- “boostli30” → 30 minute link
- “boostli60” → 60 minute link
- “boostli90” → 90 minute link

Now when someone asks for a call, I type one word.
The right link appears.
On my phone. On my Mac.

No search. No copy-paste.

I use the same trick for:
- VAT number
- Address
- IBAN
- Other data I do not know by heart

One time setup.
Daily time savings.
Compounding over months.

As a founder, these small systems keep me sane.
