The beliefs I grew up with nearly broke me.

As a son of immigrants, I was molded to believe:

Everyone is acting like on Jan 1st we all woke up as “New Version 2.0” 

With perfect habits and a six pack. 😭

Me, I’m starting 2026 with one intention:

Reconnect before I run.

Because I’ve learned something from working behind the scenes with high-performing people:

When your mind is noisy, even good goals feel like punishment.

So this week I’m doing what I call my C.A.L.M. reset:

➡️ Clarity: what’s the ONE thing that matters this week?

➡️ Alignment: who owns what in my life and work? (including me 😅)

➡️ Leverage: what can I simplify or reuse instead of doing everything from scratch?

➡️ Momentum: what’s the next small step I can actually do today?

That’s literally how I operate at work too.

I don’t push people with pressure. I pull things forward with structure.

Let’s be honest.

The ‘if you have support, you’re fake’ conversation is tired.

Because support isn’t deception.

Support is how serious leaders operate.

CEOs aren’t overwhelmed because they can’t handle pressure.

They’re overwhelmed because they’re carrying too much:

decisions, follow-ups, loose ends, admin…..all on one brain.

My role is simple:

Hold the system so the CEO can hold the vision.

That means:

-tasks don’t disappear
-follow-ups don’t die in WhatsApp
-meetings turn into actions
-priorities stay clear
-execution keeps moving until it’s done

And let’s be clear about control:

The CEO runs the game.

They set direction.

They approve what matters.

They make the calls.

I support the game  

I build the structure around those calls and follow through until it’s closed.

If someone shames leaders for having support, 

It usually means they have the time to do everything themselves…

Because their ‘work’ is being online.

Real leadership isn’t ‘I do everything.’

Real leadership is: I build support, so I can scale.

What’s one area in your business you’d improve instantly if someone held it with you?

Most people dont need more ideas

They need fewer mood swings

So here’s the rule am living by:

Pick a strategy. Lock it. Repeat it.

Not because content is king 🙄

But because consistency builds things you can’t fake:

1. Your voice (people recognize you)
2. Your identity (you become “the person for ____”)
3. Your seriousness (you stop looking like a hobby)
4. Trust (this one is quiet but loud)
5. Opportunities (they show up after the reps)

And the real game isn’t “never miss.”

The real game is resilience:

you miss
you don’t spiral
you don’t write a breakup letter to your audience 😭
you come back like… “anyway” 😌

Discipline is not motivation.

Discipline is a decision you don’t renegotiate every week.
