I used to think big brands made it because they landed the right contract, knew the right people, had some genius marketing strategy.

Took me way too long to figure out the real answer: people just trusted them. And kept trusting them.

I've been looking back at the last few months trying to understand what's actually working in my business.

And it's never what I expect.

The clients who stick around aren't the ones I wowed with a polished proposal. 

They're the ones where I just... did what I said I would. Showed up. Didn't go quiet when things got messy.

The people who actually buy from me aren't the ones who found my best post.

They're the ones who've been watching long enough to see that I show up even when I have nothing groundbreaking to say.

Trust is genuinely boring to build. 
There's no shortcut. 
No viral moment that gets you there. 

It's answering the DM when you're slammed. 

Being honest when something didn't work instead of spinning it. Not disappearing for three weeks because you're "working on something big."

Nobody wants to hear this because we all want the one big move. The thing that changes everything overnight.

But the truth is simpler and way less exciting: just be someone people can count on. 

Do that long enough and the right clients find you. 
The word of mouth starts. 
The repeat business comes.

Because at the end of the day, nobody really cares about your credentials or your follower count. They just want to know one thing:

Can I count on you?

Answer that consistently, and you've actually got something.

You see, clearing interviews is not just about mass applying to every role you find, you must have heard people say it a 100 times that you need to cater your resume to the exact role you are applying for, not just make it "ATS friendly". 

ATS is just a tool which a lot of companies have already denied that they use it to select candidates. Having worked at multiple companies that use ATS systems, it just means to track candidates, extract their information and nothing more. 

But catering your resume to each and every role takes up a lot of time, time that you potentially do not have while juggling a lot of different things in university or at work. 

I created this n8n workflow a few days ago that will help you automate this entire process end to end, and make your resume the best that the recruiter has ever seen. 

1️⃣ It runs every morning at 5 AM, so you do not need to worry anymore.
2️⃣ Extracts information from your resume
3️⃣ Finds role basis on the resume and filters you enter that were posted in the last 24 hours
4️⃣ Adds everything from the link, a cover letter and also exact improvements that you can make on your resume
5️⃣ Puts everything onto a Google sheet and sends you an e-mail once it is done.


If I had something like this when I was applying I would have saved soo much time and energy by not manually going through each and every job description and catering my resume to that role.

Profile reset: Rewrote headline to signal role → skills → outcome. 

Tight “About” using: Current focus → What I’m building → Recent wins → What I’m seeking. 

Turned on Creator Mode + Open to Work.

Posting cadence: 3–4 posts/week across 4 pillars—learning notes, project breakdowns, industry insight, career/networking. 

Each post = 1 concrete insight + 1 question.

Engagement loop: Targeted comments on hiring updates & senior engineer threads within 2–4 hours. Boolean searches for recruiters + alumni filters

Discoverability: Cleaned keywords, custom URL, notifications on. Mini case studies with measurable outcomes.

Results (what happened):
•⁠ ⁠47 recruiter DMs
•⁠ ⁠+340% profile views
•⁠ ⁠3 interviews at companies I actually wanted

But last week in San Francisco made me miss home a little less.

I didn’t get into Amazon in my first attempt. But changed my strategy in the following ways.

Here are 4 interview tips that no one talks about but I believe our very big reasons behind making or breaking your interview.

[1] Think out loud - When you hit a wall on coding problems, don't go silent. Keep talking through your approach. Interviewers will guide you when you're stuck. They're not there to fail you.

[2] Explain your code - Walk through why you picked that data structure, what the time complexity is, why this approach works. They need to understand your technical thinking.

[3] STAR everything - Behavioral rounds are the ones where a lot of people who aced tech rounds fail as well. Have a few use cases and incidents ready where you did something X and achieved Y results.

[4] Ask clarifying questions - Don't assume anything. Ask about input size, expected output format, constraints. Get the requirements clear before you start coding.

In your 20s, the people you surround yourself with will shape your entire trajectory.

Two years ago, I was working in India, planning for my master's in the US, and had no connections but just a dream.

Fast forward to today: I'm at Amazon, had a chance to work and live in San Francisco, and surrounded by some of the sharpest builders and creators I've ever met.

But to be honest, it wasn't the move to the US that changed my life. It was choosing to be around people who made me uncomfortable all along the way.

When I first got to the US, I was looking for a place that felt right and soon after, I realized it wasn't a place but the right people.

Then I moved to San Francisco after my graduation, and everything clicked and happened to fall in place.

Here are 5 things being around the right people taught me:

📍 They expand what you think is possible – I thought landing one internship was the goal. Then I met people shipping startups at 22, raising funding at 23. Suddenly, my goals felt too small.

📍 They don't let you settle – When everyone around you is building, learning, and improving, staying stagnant isn't an option. The bar gets raised daily.

📍 They introduce you to opportunities – Cold emails got me interviews. But warm intros from the right people got me offers. Your circle opens doors you didn't even know existed.

📍 They hold you accountable – It's easy to skip the gym alone. It's harder when your friends are hitting PRs every week. The same applies to your career.

📍 They become your biggest supporters – The people I've met here didn't just connect me to jobs, they believed in me before I believed in myself.

If you're in your 20s and feel stuck, ask yourself: Who am I spending my time with?

Because the fastest way to level up isn't working harder, it's surrounding yourself with people already where you want to be.

While they are one of the highest paying, with a solid work-life balance. But,

If you ask me, joining a well-funded, fast-moving startup might just be the smarter move, both financially and professionally.

Let me explain.

When I worked at Fam in India, my compensation was at par with my friends at FAANG.

And what truly stood out was the ownership I had.

I was surrounded with an incredible team of engineers, and we virtually built the entire TPAP-UPI stack.

That kind of responsibility and hands-on learning experience I had.

Sure, some teams at FAANG do offer this, but it's rare.

And that's why I feel that in today’s landscape, prioritizing growth while earning well is a far better trade-off than chasing a logo.

Breaking into Amazon can feel intimidating.

It’s the world’s largest employer, almost 7× bigger than the company at number two.

And as the New Year approaches, Amazon is hiring aggressively across roles and regions: US, India, UK, everywhere.

What if I tell you that AI could actually organize your life better than you ever could?

The US government just declared war with Anthropic after fighting against their terms in a deal and the same terms and the same deal was agreed for OpenAI?

Short recap of what happened

In July 2025, Anthropic signed a $200 million deal with the Department of Defense. The agreement seemed straightforward — until the Pentagon demanded that Claude, Anthropic's AI, be available for *all* military purposes. No restrictions. No ethical guardrails.

Anthropic and its CEO Dario Amodei just drew a red line

1. No autonomous weapons without human oversight and 2. No mass surveillance of American citizens. His reasoning was simple: today's AI is not reliable enough to make life-and-death decisions on its own.

The government's response? Strip Anthropic of all federal contracts. Label them a *supply chain risk*  a term typically reserved for hostile foreign nations.

But OpenAI was given the same exact deal that Anthropic was rejected?

- Or is Sam Altman's tweet misleading? 
- Are we supposed to read between the lines? 
- Is it just some mix up of lawyered up jargon? 
- Or will OpenAI's models not hallucinate when deciding on autonomous missiles? 

Let that sink in.

A private company was effectively penalized for refusing to remove its own safety standards when the same "exact" contract was signed by another.

Now here's what I think the business and tech world needs to start taking seriously, this isn't just a story about one company and one contract. This is a preview of the conversation every industry is about to have.

Who sets the ethical boundaries for AI? 

The companies building it? 
The governments funding it? 
Or the people living inside the systems it shapes?

Because right now, the answer is unclear. And that ambiguity is dangerous.

As leaders, builders, and professionals, we don't get to stay neutral on this one.

How much government control over AI is acceptable before it stops being governance and starts being something else entirely?

Everyone believes tech recruiting is 90% timing and luck.

I got offers from multiple Y Combinator companies and more, using this:

1️⃣ Perfect timing 
2️⃣ A dash of luck 
3️⃣ A rock-solid skillset

Most people always focus on the first two. 

But if #3 is not strong, the other two collapse fast.

I’ve seen referrals straight from VPs gets dropped because the candidate froze on a basic system-design question, though they had the best timing and luck.

This made me realize that, though you have a great network and are lucky, having a strong skill set can change everything.

So yes, network like crazy, and apply when the timing feels right. But don't forget to build the skills that matter.
