The BRAIV Foundation was started by a group of aviation professionals united in the mission of "People Helping People." The Foundation focuses on funding innovative research for brain cancer, traumatic brain injury, and assisting injured veterans who have suffered brain trauma. The organization is composed of volunteers raising money for these injuries and is focused on attempting to leverage its resources for high-value outcomes directly changing people's lives. I also worked on the business consulting side of BAH before it "broke up" and became Booz & Co v. BAH. Booz &  Co was eventually consumed by Bain Consulting. Clients on the business side when I was there included UPS, Medtronic, and others. My focus on that side of the business was organizational change and communications.

Special Assistant and Schedule-C Appointee working on policy issues pertaining to the GWOT.  Appeared before Congress and testified on GWOT issues. Worked with US allies and international organizations (UN, NATO, OSCE, etc.) on coordinating GWOT policy.  As a fun fact, I've probably been to Capitol Hill, Cuba, Geneva, London, and Vienna way more times than you ever will... thanks to my time in DoD.

I'm responsible for most of the detention policy you see today (very little of it has changed since I worked on it nearly 15 years ago) - so I suppose that says something about my law and policy skills. Most of the law I contributed to also remains law of the land. Again - I suppose that says something about my experitse in that area. 

My primary area of research, experience, and expertise was in national security and government policymaking. My subject areas of expertise are counter-insurgency, armed conflict, arms control, deterrence, foreign policy, and national security strategy.
