I reminded them of one simple truth:
“Everybody wants to be great… until it’s time to do what greatness requires.”

No hype. No pressure.
Just mindset, discipline and ownership in this final stretch.

Is laziness stopping you from being successful?


Speaking to year 11 students, I wanted to let them know that laziness is a major contributor to failure. 

A lot of the times its the things we don’t do that leads to failure, not your ability.

Find your why, your reason to keep going, a purpose that can push you on the days you can’t push yourself!

How do you cope with pressure?


A message to year 11 students and all students taking exams is this:

Just because it gets difficult, it doesn’t mean it’s not doable.

The only limitations you experience in life are the ones you put on yourself.

It’s 6am. I’ve just left the gym and I’m sitting in my car writing this. I was training with my big bro Mr Beezy  someone who genuinely lives by discipline and consistency, especially when it comes to fitness. In the middle of the session he said something simple but powerful:

“The decisions you make determine your life. You are where you are right now because of the decisions you’ve made.”

That stayed with me.

So many of us hope life will get better. We pray. We wait. We visualise. But we rarely pause to ask ourselves a harder question. What am I doing today that is actually moving me toward the life I say I want?

Your future is not random. It is not luck. It is not prayer without action. It is a projection of your current daily choices. If you do not like what you are projecting, the answer is not to wish harder. The answer is to choose differently.

Small decisions, repeated daily, create outcomes.

Someone important once told me that if I did not change my decisions, I would end up in jail or dead. At the time, that sounded extreme. Looking back honestly, with the choices I was making, it was probably true.

I had to change. Not my intentions. Not my words. My actions.

Growth did not come from one big moment. It came from choosing discipline over comfort. Consistency over excuses. Long term vision over short term relief.

Every day you are deciding something, even when you think you are standing still.

So the real question is this.
What are your daily decisions building?

I want to tell you about a text I got last month.

It was from a client (a founder I've been working with for a year)

It was a Saturday afternoon. 3:47pm.

The message said:

"I'm sitting in my garden watching my kids play. My wife just brought me a coffee. I'm not thinking about work and I'm not checking my phone every 5 minutes. I forgot what this felt like."

Let me take you back to where he was 1 year ago.

He was doing okay on paper. $5k months. Good reputation.

But behind closed doors he was drowning.

Every month felt like starting from zero.

He'd close a deal and feel this rush of relief - finally - then a week later, the panic would creep back in.

"Where's the next one coming from?"

He'd wake up at 3am, heart racing, grabbing his phone to check emails.

Refreshing LinkedIn. 

Looking for signs of life in his pipeline.

He'd sit across from his wife at dinner, nodding along, but his mind was somewhere else.

Calculating. Worrying. Running scenarios.

His kids would ask him to play. 

"In a minute," he'd say.

Then 20 minutes would pass and he'd still be staring at his laptop.

Then his wife told him something one night that changed the situation…

Picture this with me: You're driving your tuktuk up the winding mountain roads of Sri Lanka.

You round a corner ...and you see them first.

A whole family of wild elephants. 

Right there on the road… maybe 60m ahead.

You kill the engine immediately.

Your partner looks up from her phone. 

Her eyes go wide. "Oh my god."

You sit there in complete silence, just watching.

A baby elephant is playing near its mum, rolling around in the dirt. 

The matriarch stands in the middle of the road, completely unbothered by your presence.

Your partner's barely breathing.

Then she looks down at the dashboard.

There's a faded warning sticker you hadn't noticed before.

It's got a cartoon elephant on it and text in English:

"WARNING: WILD ELEPHANTS. IF APPROACHED, ACCELERATE IMMEDIATELY AND DRIVE AWAY."

Your partner's eyes flick from the sticker to the elephants ahead, then back to the sticker.

A nervous laugh escapes. "Are you seeing this?"

An elephant can run 25mph and weighs 6 tons.

The math is not mathing.

"Accelerate immediately and drive away," you read aloud. 

"In this?" I ask.

Then this happens… (see comments)

I’m 30 and all I want is to farm flowers, walk my Labrador & have an old Porsche.

There’s a fourth thing on that list…

(it’s the most important one)

I’m marrying my best friend in 2 months.

And weirdly, it’s made me think a lot about who I said I’d become.

Because for a long time, I thought success was supposed to look a certain way.

Everyone talks about Rolexes like it’s proof you’ve made it.

(I mean, it is for some people & that’s absolutely fine… but for me I need something more)

Fun fact, I still wear a $10 Casio watch.

It tells the time and that’s all I ever wanted it to do.

(am I also right in saying every entrepreneur is obsessed with a calculator or is that just me haha?)

Anyway, wearing this watch made me think:

Becoming the person you said you would be isn’t about upgrading the optics.

The focus should be on closing the gap between WHO you are and HOW you show up.

ESPECIALLY as a founder.

Most founders I speak to think they have a strategy problem.

When actually, they have a self worth problem.

They know what they stand for.

They just don’t trust it enough to lead with it.

So they perform instead.

They copy tones that aren’t theirs.
They post LinkedIn content that sounds “right” but feels wrong.
They chase signals that were never meant for them.

The point I’m trying to make is… are you becoming who you said you would be??

Because once you answer that honestly, the rest gets simpler.

Your positioning becomes obvious.

And LinkedIn stops being a stage and starts being a mirror.

99% of you are forgetting this 1 thing.

You’re posting on LinkedIn.

Maybe it’s twice a week.

Maybe it’s everyday.

Either way, you’re posting.

You struggle with content ideas.

But you’re still posting.

You struggle with finding the time to come up with ideas.

But you’re still posting.

You’re getting bored.

But you’re still posting.

You feel a sense of frustration.

But you’re still posting.

You feel like people don’t understand what you do.

But you still post.

Why are you doing this to yourself?

It sounds awful.

So please stop for your sanity.

Your life will be 100 times easier if you did this 1 thing first:

→ Find your positioning.

Once you understand this, posting will become a lot easier.

And guess what? The ROI will be pretty nice too.

Remember, this is NOT your content pillars.

If someone’s timeline on LinkedIn looks perfect, you’re reading the edited version.

Always are.

I recorded a podcast episode with a millionaire while only having 800 LinkedIn followers.

I felt like I had no business doing this.

But I did it anyway.

There’s a secret strategy I’ve used a few times to get the high quality founders on my show. 

And that strategy is: 

I message them.

…but my message has a twist.

Here's what I’ve learned by doing this a few times: 

You don't need a massive following to land world class guests.

You need a framework that makes saying yes the easiest decision they can make.

What’s the secret twist? 

I stopped asking "Will you be on my podcast?"

And started asking "Can I help you reach this specific audience with this specific message?"

Authority isn't built by waiting until you're "ready"

It's built by borrowing trust from people who already have it.

If your LinkedIn content isn’t bringing you clients, do this:

STOP posting more.

You don’t have a content problem.

You have a positioning problem.

Because posting on LinkedIn without positioning is like going to the gym every day and:

- Doing random machines with NO idea what they’re for.
- Copying whoever looks confident.

While still checking the mirror to see if the 6 pack showed up yet.

Same effort.
Zero results.

The people getting clients?

They know exactly:

→ What they’re training
→ Why they’re there
→ And what they’re trying to build

Positioning beats posting.

Every time.

Agree?

In 2025, I hired our Head of AI.

Her job is to evaluate every new AI tool that comes out and figure out:

- Does it actually work? (Most don't)

- Can we measure its impact? (Data driven evaluation)

- Should we adopt it for our team? (Internal efficiency)

- Should we teach it to clients? (Client results)

Every week, she brings us a new tool to test.

And every week, we look at the data:

- Did it save time? (How much?)
- Did it improve quality? (Measurable how?)
- Did it increase output? (By what percentage?)

2 months ago, she tested an AI tool that repurposes podcast episodes into LinkedIn posts.

The test:

5 episodes, done manually → 10 hours of work

5 episodes, AI + light human editing → 2 hours of work

The results:

Manual posts:

→ 4,200 impressions
→ 82 engagements

AI assisted posts:

→ 3,800 impressions
→ 76 engagements

So yes, the AI assisted posts were slightly lower.

But here’s the important part.

They were 80-90% as effective in one fifth of the time.

Which meant something far more valuable happened.

Instead of choosing between quality or scale, we got BOTH.

Because the time we saved wasn’t wasted.

We used it to:

- Sharpen positioning
- Improve hooks
- Edit with intent
- Distribute across more platforms

So the real comparison wasn’t: Manual vs AI

It was: Manual only vs AI + human judgement

That’s the WIN with AI.

Now we repurpose 4× more content across 5 platforms with consistent quality.

A few years ago, I turned down a £100k corporate job.

On paper, it made absolutely no sense, but I took the risk.

- I burned a serious amount of my savings on ads that didn’t work.
- I neglected my health more than I should’ve.
- I moved countries without a solid plan.
- I worked way too much.

There were moments where it felt reckless.

And moments where it felt irresponsible.

But it was the only way I could find out.

Fast forward to last year.

- We generated $3M+ results for clients.

- We drove 16,017,936 impressions across LinkedIn for founders who needed demand.

- We helped people build positioning that actually turned into sales.

None of that came from playing it safe.

It came from betting on myself when the outcome wasn’t guaranteed.

From doing the unglamorous work.

From being willing to look stupid for longer than most people are comfortable with.

People love to talk about balance.

I think balance comes after you’ve taken the leap.

Not before.

Because the moves that change your life rarely feel sensible at the time.

They feel uncomfortable.

Lonely.

And slightly mad.

But those are usually the ones worth taking.
