I work in Home Mortgage lending and Funds release within lending services in AIB. This role has provided me with extensive knowledge within the mortgage sector in Ireland.

My day to day role would involve been in the whole process of the release of mortgage funds, liaising with branch staff who in turn contact customers, speaking with mortgage solicitors in relation to any queries they would have prior to the draw down of funds and working closely with our underwriting department so as to reduce any risk prior to mortgage draw down. 

In recent weeks I have been liaising with Private Banking and building relationships with key members within the department in order to escalate release of funds and to be improving the customer service experience that we deliver all the time. 

At present, I am training to become fully competent with Commercial Banking client portfolios and the process submission of applications into the system 

Operations Work:

- Management of queues to ensure daily deadlines and Service Level Agreements are met
- Organisation of and chairing team meetings and report feedback to management
- In my short time with the AIB I have already had the experience of training new members of staff on the day to day activities we do.
