Hello 👋 I’m a hands-on product leader with a proven track record of building and scaling digital banking solutions across multiple geographies.  I am mission driven (because money has been a pain point, and it didn’t have to be like that).

At BigPay, one of Southeast Asia's largest NeoBanks, I’ve helped steer our product through three critical phases: Zero to One, Growth at All Costs, and now, sustainable Path to Profitability - growing the customer base to over 1.37 million users. We are known mainly as a travel solution and increasingly becoming a day to day app. 

My expertise spans from product design, delivery and growth, team building, and driving the cultural shift and ways of working necessary to go from startup to scaleup. 

At Tandem Bank, I helped build from scratch, and worked with Tandem's CEO on strategic initiatives and Board management.

1. Product Growth & Innovation: 

Led the development of credit cards, BigPay’s prepaid card with its app, remittances, a payments API, an embedded finance solution for airasia, and engagement initiatives to meet evolving needs.

2. Strategic Planning: 

Collaborated with the CEO and ExCo to shape product strategy, aligning squads on growth, innovation goals, OKRs, and resource planning.

3. Expansion: 

Launched BigPay’s product in Malaysia, Singapore, and empowered teams to launch in Thailand. 

4. Cultural Transformation: 

Established a strong Product Operating Model, guiding BigPay’s shift from startup to scaleup.

5. Team Building: 

Recruited and mentored a high-performing product and design team, setting a scalable foundation.

I host the Purpose Driven FinTech podcast, where I interview FinTech Founders, CEOs, and leaders on how to build differentiated FinTech products that drive 10x impact. We cover customer needs, solving pain points, and leadership insights.

In a varied consulting career with Mazars, I delivered hundreds of successful projects in wide variety of sectors, and with clients of various sizes from entrepreneurial businesses and not for profit to mid-cap and large listed clients. 

A significant aspect of the role, that was very rewarding was helping to develop the skills of the talented team members I was lucky enough to work with.  It is wonderful to see so many of them doing so well as consultants in a variety of businesses.

I led many successful projects, with a focus on streamlining operational and financial processes, leading a large scale systems transformation, developing operational simulations, planning models and implementing Management Information solutions.

I still regard Bass as one of the highest quality businesses that I have been privileged to work with.  The opportunities that these roles provided were so many and varied that I can still draw on the experiences.

From University I joined the graduate scheme at British Steel and was promoted rapidly through a variety of consulting jobs at the UES plant at Stocksbridge near Sheffield.

The quality of the technical skills and experiences of the senior members of the team that I joined helped to provide excellent opportunities to develop process improvement, organisation design and analytics techniques in a complex and challenging business environment.

From the outset, I found that I had an aptitude in analytics and operational and financial modelling that became a platform from which to build in later roles.

I have 30+ years of experience as a consultant helping clients to deliver process improvement and Management Information transformation projects, both in industry and in professional services firms. 

For more than 15 years, I led the Business Performance Improvement team for Mazars in the UK including 12 years as a Partner.   

My aim continues to be to bring expertise in business process analysis to identify potential improvements in efficiencies and cost reductions for business of all sizes.  

Specifically this includes continuing to develop and deliver innovative and pragmatic Management Information solutions similar to those that have helped many entrepreneurial and listed businesses to improve business performance.
