How to do that (simple, not salesy):
1️⃣  Define the buyer it’s for (and who it’s not for)
2️⃣  Show the cost of the problem you solve (time, risk, missed revenue)
3️⃣  Add proof that matches price (security, outcomes, credible specifics)
4️⃣  Set expectation bands (enterprise-ready signals / “starts at” / pricing logic)
5️⃣  Explain what drives price (seats, usage, support, rollout—1 line)


If pricing is a jump scare, you didn’t “lose on price” — you lost on trust.

here are 7 most common-mistakes:

1️⃣ Proof is buried (aka “trust me later”)

2️⃣ Proof is unscannable (paragraph testimonials, tiny logos)

3️⃣ Claims are big, evidence is missing (no “show me”)

4️⃣ Comparison triggers exits (feature tables = open 3 tabs)

5️⃣ Too many paths (buyers freeze, bounce)

6️⃣ Loud = cheap (premium pages feel calm)

7️⃣ CTA doesn’t match intent (demo/try now when they’re still unsure)

I need to say this....

You are delaying your launch because your product isn't "beautiful" yet. 

And after designing for 50+ SaaS companies and roasting 130+ others, I am here to tell you:
Stop it.

I see Pre-PMF founders paying for museum-quality onboarding flows. 
Every screen is gorgeous. 
Every hover state has a PhD.
And then they act shocked when nothing moves.

Brutal Reality check: 
Week 3 hits. 
The offer changes. 
The ICP shifts slightly. 
Suddenly, half of that beautiful, hard-coded design is irrelevant.

You actually built a constraint. 
Deep product polish → Slower iterations → PMF delayed → Panic.

The "Survival Protocol" for Pre-PMF:

1️⃣ The Front Door (aka Landing Page): 
Go 10/10 Here. This is non-negotiable. 
The market is flooded with AI wrappers, so your site must look "Series A" even if you are "Day 1."
- One clear motion (Demo vs. Trial).
- ICP + Promise nailed in 8 seconds.
- Proof placed before they scroll. This is where you buy their trust.

2️⃣ The Engine (Product UI): 
Keep it Functional. 
Stop trying to win design awards inside the tool yet. Keep it clean. 
Keep it standard. Make sure it works. 
But more importantly: 
Make sure you can change it in 24 hours without crying over the sunken cost of "deep design."

When to flip the switch? Post-PMF. 

Once the retention is there, then you don't delay. 
You double down on deep UX because that becomes your moat.

But right now? Your users don't care if the settings menu has a perfect gradient. They care if the product actually solves the pain you promised on the homepage.

This won’t work if:
- you are going into very competitive market without Great UVP.
- you are launching a design tool.
- You think a pretty site saves a broken tool (it doesn't).

Keep your demo outcome a mystery.

Monday 9:12am.
Traffic looks fine.
Demos don’t.
You open the homepage and stare at “Book demo” like it owes you money.

A buyer lands. Scrolls once. Stops.
And you can feel the thought:
“Looks solid… but what happens if I book this?”
a common loop: Missing answers → hesitation → tab-switch → “we’ll revisit” → no demo → pipeline thins → money leak.

let's do a quick math:
5,000–10,000 visits/mo × 0.6–1.0% = 30–100 demos.
A ~20% hesitation tax deletes 6–20 demos/month.

Before “Book demo” feels safe, your page must deliver these 5 pre-demo requirements:

1️⃣  Verdict: what you do + for who + outcome (plain words).

2️⃣  Risk drop: neutralize the top fear (setup / switching / security).

3️⃣  Proof close: evidence beside the claim (not buried).

4️⃣  Demo outcome: 1–2 lines on what they leave with (so it’s not a blind meeting).

5️⃣  One lane: no competing routes stealing attention.
