•	Managed a group of 25 direct and indirect reports, spanning BI Enablement, Data Science Enablement, and Entity Resolution while defining the enterprise roadmap and best practices. 
•	Cultivated continuous improvement by ensuring customer requests were addressed and identifying bottlenecks, challenges, or opportunties for improvement.
•	Played a key role in defining new standards for data acquisition, data warehousing, data governance, and end-user consumption, as a member of the enterprise architecture group.
•	Achieved the highest NPS score while supporting +800 developers and +10K end users in a self-service model due to a focus on easy-to-consume services, documentation, and training/support. 
•	Maintained responsibility for 10 platforms across our data-infrastructure stack in AWS, Software-as-a-Service offerings, proprietary solutions, and on-premises (e.g., data science workbench, Tableau, Business Objects, MSBI, Dataiku, Dremio, ThoughtSpot, and SAS).
•	Managed a $10M budget and 25 team members across 3 Kanban teams and 1 Scrum team.
•	Led a $2M project to migrate 400 users to a modern data stack, improving user efficiency, saving $685K in annual platform costs, and adding new analytic and data science capabilities. 
•	Facilitated the migration from on-prem to AWS, saving $300K in infrastructure costs per year.

Director of Data Engineering- Analytics Enablement

•	Led multiple proofs of concepts (POCs) and built dashboards to showcase the value of modern analytical stacks, as the Data Engineering Lead. 
•	Rapidly upskilled and served as an internal consultant on Tableau dashboard design and visualization best practices.
•	Built a sustainable self-service framework and culture to enable the rapid scale of Tableau, growing community from 0 to 450 developers and +8K end users per month. 
•	Led initiatives to assess, garner support, and roll out analytics capabilities for the community, reducing costs by millions of dollars and significantly increasing efficiency for users. 
•	Developed and led 3 cohort-based boot camps, enabling 160 developers to rapidly up-skill in Tableau and dashboard design.

•	Maintained accountability for gathering requirements, supporting solution design, testing SQL, and providing user support, as a Data Engineer.
•	Assisted in creating and supporting the analytical data mart for the research department’s predictive models, as a member of a hybrid development team.
•	Built customer-facing applications to support data mart. 
•	Recognized for testing most released items in 2015 and maintaining the highest closure rate of complex data issues.

•	Supported confidential, ground-up, claim-based studies using direct and ceded loss information for the actuarial reserving department. 
•	Supported multiple projects, ensuring deliverables were executed on time and within budget.
•	Leveraged expertise in SQL and SAS to deliver analytic-based solutions; and developed a tool to migrate and relink +100K files, saving countless labor hours.

I am an AWS Certified Solutions Architect with a Master of Science in Business Analytics, and I keep my thumb on the pulse of industry trends and emerging technologies. I have considerable hands-on experience in various key roles, culminating as the Director of Data Engineering at The Hartford Financial Services Group and later as Head of Data and Analytics at Upright(previously known as Fund That Flip. Inc).

As Head of Data and Analytics, I built and managed a high-performing team to identify opportunities and enable data-driven analytics across the organization. I leveraged expertise in data design to build modern data collection processes and data management and reporting tools. Additional achievements include helping define identify and implement new technologies to modernize our Data and Analytic stack at The Hartford.
