My name is Mitch Clements, and I specialize in product vision, strategy, storytelling, and building design teams to drive business results.

With a diverse career background as a developer, product manager, and designer, I bring a unique perspective as a Product Design Leader. Currently serving as a Senior Product Design Manager at nCino, I collaborate closely with the leadership team to establish the product vision and strategy for our mortgage portfolio. Overseeing 22 cross-functional teams, our collective efforts impact 1 in 3 U.S. mortgage loans, serving over 10 million users.

Additionally, I am deeply passionate about fostering the design community. I regularly speak at design conferences, spearheaded a product mentorship program connecting 500+ mentees with mentors, and regularly contribute to discussions here on LinkedIn (with an audience of 50K+ designers).

Engaged by PSG - the nation's leading drug spend management firm, to help build and grow cloud based, SaaS solutions leveraging big data, advanced analytics and machine learning to solve one of healthcare’s biggest challenges – RISING DRUG COSTS.

I worked with outstanding colleagues to:
 - Build and Launch PSG's SaaS Drug Spend Management Platform - Artemetrx Monitor with a 250K member  health plan, helping them realize 20M+ annual savings.  Multiple Patents Pending.  
 - Launch commercial software development services and grow the Artemetrx Monitor platform from 250K members in 2016 to 25M+ members in 2018.
 - Scale 340B Link Solution to 80+ Sites  by  providing a  SaaS B2B drug ordering / procurement optimization portal, developing APIs to integrate with all major inventory systems, pharmacies, wholesalers/suppliers and launching Specialty Solution to support access to Biologic Drugs. Lead to the eventual sale of the 340B Link business to Omnicell for $225M (6.4x Revenue)
 - Hire and lead Product Strategy / Management / Innovation (SVP - Product Mgmt), Data Science, Product Engineering (VP-Product Engineering x2), IT (CIO) and Information Security (CISO) teams.
 - Establish and oversee a robust information security program protecting the information of 50 million+ patients from ongoing cyber attacks - with no breaches. Achieve and maintain SOC 2 Type 2 Certification and  HIPAA compliance.
 - Move all PSG corporate systems to the cloud, paving the way for data center shutdown.

Hired to setup architecture, product and solution design practices to support OptumRx’s transformation from a captive service provider to a commercial PBM.  Accountable for Business Architecture, Demand Shaping, Technology Strategy, Technology Products and Solution Design. 

My team:
- Designed OptumRx Sync "Medical+Pharmacy"  Analytics and Care Optimization Solution 
- Scaled up the application portfolio to address commercial requirements and volumes (12 million      new members and 33% increase in claim volume) 
- Established new technology stacks (3x cheaper, 2x faster to market in POC)
- Rationalized the application portfolio ( established core, initiated retirement of legacy  > $5M annual reduction anticipated)
- Initiated design of new products : Electronic Prior Authorization, Dynamic Pricing, MSMS/Hassle Free Refills – Pharmacy Automation, Web Renewal Transfer and new Fill – self serve and Miracle Gro Pharmacy CRM to improve operations (23% SGA reduction) and trade value ($2M/mo).
- Introduced pace layering to use different cadence for managing core OLTP, BPM/BI and consumer engagement systems.
- Piloted a new development approach - delivering a minimally viable service management solution within 90 days of initial engagement. Reduced AHT by 15 seconds and obviated 10% of follow up calls generating $10M/year savings.
- Developed inital Merger Integration IT Strategy and going in position for the proposed $12.8 Billion acquisition of CTRX.

Architected our next generation application platform and web based pharmacy system - that drives 67% of our revenue.

This system supports and integrates automated prescription fulfillment facilities, pharmacy call centers, pharmacy service centers and stores.
Currently working on developing IT Service Delivery and IT Service Support capabilities (Organization, Processes, Tools and Measures) for the Central Pharmacy system using elements of ITIL, ASL and LEAN.

Architect - Special Projects - Pharmacy Reengineering

Developed ReadyDose Mutidose Packaging, “Prescription as a Subscription”  program and medication adherence tracking / caregiver notification services ( a precursor to PillPak and PharmacyOS - now owned  by Amazon.com).  Multiple software and process patents granted. 

The assignment was to take the new product and associated service from idea to pilot.Was given first round of funding, based on the concept. Obtained second round based on Product + Service design and financial projections. Activities included Consumer Research, Product and Service Design, Obtaining Patents for Product and related IT and assembly processes, Developing Business and Operating Model, Financial and Legal analysis, Channel Identification and Design, Contract Manufacturing, B2C site design and implementation etc
