Spotify crashed our Christmas event this year.
And so did someone else.

Last week, our team got together for our Pigsmas Christmas event, and this year was an extra special one.

That’s because we welcomed a brand new team member, Can Kalin, who actually had his very first day with us that day.

Naturally, we pulled out all the stops to celebrate his arrival and make our Christmas event a good one for the team.

We kicked the day off with a brunch in our office, prepared by Japanese chef Yumi. 

Later, we focused on some work stuff, where I gave the team a presentation on Piggyback’s three-year vision and some of our future goals.

After, we got into the fun part as the team ran their own workshops: one guessing which songs were trending on TikTok, and another all about astrology, where they we found out where each of us sits on the astrology spectrum.

Halfway through the day, we briefly had to step back into work-mode when Spotify Wrapped suddenly (and also sort of expectedly) dropped.

(But in true Piggyback fashion, we rallied and got one out for our clients in exactly 28 minutes... Impressive, I know.)

We then ended our busy day with a three course vegan dinner in a restaurant with a very fitting Piggy backdrop, which we, of course, chose because of it.

A big thank you to the entire Piggyback team and of course, for all your work this year. I’m so excited to start the new year with all of you, and with our new addition to our team!

I had a very important conversation yesterday... Here's what it was all about:

Yesterday evening, I had the pleasure of joining Anna Suznjevic from Important Conversation (see what I did at the beginning there) on stage at Soho House Berlin, where we explored the power of relationships and co-creation.

(And this event ended up being the perfect example of exactly that!)

Over the evening, we talked about: 
– Why human consultants still matter in the age of AI, especially when advising the C-level 
– What makes a great briefing, and why the best ones solve one specific problem 
– How consultants differ from coaches 
– My own experience and journey, including the many pivots that led to the north star we now follow at Piggyback 

Massive thank you to Anna for having me and for being such a great host, and thanks to Soho House for the wonderful hospitality. I had such a great time!

One of the bravest things to do when the world is on fire is this:
Grow your business.

Why are we still doing it?

Because there are still genuinely hundreds of companies across Germany (and Europe) that genuinely need our help.

When I look at the social media presence of so many brands, there is a huge amount of opportunity just sitting there, untouched.

So many brands have great products, strong teams, and a lot of potential, but they are completely lost in the noise when it comes to social.

They don’t really understand their audience, their content lacks strategy, and their storytelling is flat.

And that’s exactly why we’re still growing, even when conditions around us aren’t perfect.

Growth for us is not about headcount for the sake of headcount (especially not in this climate).

It is about increasing our ability to solve real problems for real companies who need support, even if they don’t realise it yet.

Tough markets don’t mean all the opportunities are gone.

They just make it clearer who is willing to step up.

How to get ChatGPT to never sound like an AI again:

(save it for later, to copy & paste)

Prompt: "Act as my Anti-AI-Voice Editor.

When I paste text after this, rewrite it so it reads like a clear, specific human. Not like ChatGPT, Claude, or a generic “AI thought leader”.

Rules:

1. Preserve content, change only the voice

* Keep my ideas, claims, POV, tense, and person (I/you/we).
* Keep roughly the same length and structure unless the structure is a banned pattern.
* Don’t invent stories, numbers, or promises.
* Output only the edited text. No notes.

2. Hard-ban words (remove/replace with short, concrete language)

3. Hard-ban expression patterns — with approved rewrites

For each pattern below, detect exact or loose matches and rewrite using one of the “Use instead” options.

A) The “IN A WORLD WHERE” DRAMA
Formula: “In a world where [scary/overwhelming change], [virtue/edge] becomes [currency/advantage].”
Use instead (pick one):

* Today, [specific change]. So [practical implication for the reader].
* Because [concrete change], do [specific action] to get [specific result].

B) The “MOST PEOPLE VS FEW WHO” SPLIT
Formula: “Most people [lazy thing]. The few who win [disciplined thing].”
Use instead:

* Among [group], [specific stat/observation]. What works: [one tactic].
* Personal stance: I do [specific practice] to avoid [specific downside].

C) The “STOP DOING X. START DOING Y.” SWITCH
Formula: “Stop [old habit]. Start [new habit].”
Use instead:

* If you’re doing [X], switch to [Y] when [condition], because [reason].
* Replace [X] with [Y]: [1–3 concrete steps the reader can take].

The Anatomy of a GPT-5.2 Prompt: 

1. Role
Define a clear role for the model to adopt.

2. Task
State exactly what you want it to do.
Be explicit about the desired action or outcome.

3. Context
Give the model everything it needs to perform well.
Include background details, constraints, examples. 

4. Reasoning Instruction
Prompt it to think through the problem.
Request that GPT-5 explain its reasoning, or follow a logical COT before giving the final answer.

5. Output Format
Specify how you want the answer presented.
List the format clearly (bullet points, numbered steps, tables, narrative paragraphs). 

6. Stop Conditions
Set boundaries for the response. This could mean limiting the length, ending at a certain step.

You're prompting ChatGPT-5.2 like it's ChatGPT-4.

Here are 5 new prompt rules for GPT-5.2:

1. Purpose: Say what NOT to do
GPT-5.2 gives you more than you asked for.
Extra code. Bonus ideas. Random additions.

Fix: "Do exactly what I ask. No extras. No embellishments."

2. Role: Add a "keep it simple" rule
Give it a job title, but don't confuse it.
Mixed instructions mess it up.

Fix: "You are [expert]. If something is unclear, go with the simpler choice."

3. Instructions: Stop the play-by-play
GPT 5.2 knows what do if it has the right goal.
Focus on the goal more than the steps.

Fix: "Focus on the goal completion. I will consider it a success once we [target] for [audience]."

4. Manner: Give Exact Lengths
Words like "short" or "brief" are too vague.
Be specific. Use numbers.

Fix: "3-6 sentences" or "max 5 bullets" or "2 sentences for yes/no."

5. Effort: The Default Changed
Thinking mode is now "none" by default.

Fix: Always use "Thinking mode". Extended is even better. Understand ChatGPT is better with patience.

- Once the goal is clear, gather context, plan, and carry the work to a complete, usable result in this reply.
- Do not stop at analysis or generic advice; produce concrete outputs (drafts, plans, code, examples) where relevant.
- If the user asks “should we do X?” and “yes” is reasonable, also show or draft how to do X instead of leaving them to follow up.

Working style:
- Be direct, practical, and truth-seeking.

3. Scope
Outline what the model should focus on — and what it should avoid. Give boundaries that keep answers relevant.

4. Tone and Style
Specify the voice, phrasing, and level of formality you want. This ensures responses feel consistent and on-brand.

5. Structure
Explain how the answer should be organized. Use short paragraphs by default, and rely on bullets only when needed for clarity.

6. Autonomy and Reasoning
Tell GPT-5.1 to think through the task. Ask for structured reasoning, and allow it to make sensible assumptions instead of bouncing decisions back.

7. Tool Usage (Optional)
If tools or external steps are available, define how and when they should be used to ground suggestions.

8. Verbosity and Limits
Set expectations for depth and length. Keep responses concise unless the task requires more detail.

9. Interaction & Closing
Guide how the model should wrap up: no repetition, no apologies, and always end with a clear next step.
