Imagine a brand like Gymshark partnering with corporate creators or better yet, LinkedIn creators… 

Hear me outttt 🤭

This year we’ve seen a real shift where brands are collaborating with creators outside of their usual industry to reach new audiences who are still their consumers.

So the other day I was thinking… 

imagine if a brand like Gymshark launched a campaign focused on helping people in full-time employment to stay committed to their fitness journey.

Because let’s be honest, one of the biggest struggles of a 9 to 5 is actually making it to the gym, classes or clubs. 

Some of us try going before work (I’m a 5am gym girlie) while others drag themselves there after 6pm and end up fighting for machines or classes (aka Hunger Games hours).

And then there are the people who simply can’t make it to the gym because life is just too busy.

Now imagine a campaign where Gymshark partners with LinkedIn creators or corporate creators, to spread awareness around how we can regain and maintain a fitness routine despite time constraints. 

At the end of the day, we are also their consumers. I know I am.

This idea came to me because we are starting to see a real change in who brands choose to partner with. They are thinking outside the box to reach untapped audiences. 

LinkedIn creators are going to be a huge thing, not just in B2B but also B2C very soon.

And let’s be honest, we all follow at least one corporate creator now…

Yesterday I spoke at TikTok HQ in London, making it my final speaking engagement of 2025! 🎤🙏🫶✨

To celebrate the 6th birthday of People Like Us, I was challenged to talk about a piece of work I’m proud of in just three minutes. 

Of course I had to share the story of growing Folio’s social channels.

I’m genuinely still shaking from the adrenaline!!😭

I also almost teared up when the audience clapped after I mentioned that in just 18 months, my manager and I have grown the company’s social channels by 194k followers across the board.

This year has been all about stepping on stages and sharing my story, experiences and lessons to help others, no matter how nervous or scared I felt.

Because life is about doing the things that scare us the most, right? That’s how we grow. ✨

A huge thank you to Sheeraz Gulsher and the team at People Like Us for giving me the space to share one of my biggest career achievements to date. 

And to my mentor, Lauren La Faci, thank you for every piece of advice and guidance. I’ll forever be grateful.

And with that, the 2025 speaking season comes to an end. 👋🏼🙏✨🙌

Speaking at Sprout Social, Inc.Vantage event was INCREDIBLE! 🥺🎤

I’m so thankful for the opportunity and a big thank you to Autumn Benitez for giving me the chance to share my experiences and stories on stage.

One of my favourite parts was talking about how tough it can be for people in social to back ourselves and our expertise. When someone wants you to post a content idea but you know it won’t add value, it’s having the confidence to challenge that. 

And trust me… I’m still working on this because it’s scary!!!

Autumn also made sure everyone knew I was a LinkedIn creator (appreciate you for that 🥺), so I talked about how I’ve positioned myself on the platform, how it led to speaking opportunities and how I’ve found the courage to get on stage even with butterflies and the urge to cry. 

It’s all part of the process.

In the last few months, I’ve lost my creativity.

This is something I’ve been struggling with recently, finding it hard to come up with new ideas, concepts and campaigns for social.

It has led me into this sort of brain rot, doing the same things over and over because they’re easy and just feeling uninspired in my work.

So honestly, this was bound to happen at some point, especially because I’ve always felt like I’m constantly working on Folio’s social accounts or my own. There was never really a switch off button.

I know many of us have been here or might be going through the same thing. And everyone says we need to step away from being online and find creativity outside our phones because scrolling is not going to spark anything, it is just filling our brains with more noise.

And the truth is that, they are right.

So now, I’m trying to navigate how to find my creativity again and more importantly, how to maintain it in a way that feels sustainable.

I wanted to share this because losing creativity is normal and it is something we will experience multiple times when working in marketing.

It is not about figuring out how to never lose it, but about keeping your creativity sacred so you are less likely to fall into those moments where ideas stop flowing and motivation goes out the window.

Recently, I’ve been trying to be more present in what I do, both personally and professionally. Less time on my phone and more time exploring the parts of life that spark something new.

At the end of the day, losing creativity happens and it’s okay.

There’s nothing that social media managers cannot do!!

Not only do we manage social media accounts but in order to do that we need have 2190393 skills. 

Brainstorming, filming, editing, reporting, analysing, community engagement, design, you name it.

Long-term influencer partnerships are working wonders for us at Folio anddd I’m not surprised the data agrees👀... {AD}

Since last year, we’ve been collaborating with book influencers not just through gifting but by creating ongoing opportunities with them, like giveaways and exclusive launch campaigns.

An INCREDIBLE example is Dylan Joseph. We first partnered with him last year on a giveaway for his community to win our Folio book of The Song of Achilles.

Since then, we’ve kept working together and building that relationship, which has really helped build trust with his audience and grow our brand awareness too. A win win right?🙌

This is exactly what Kolsquare | B Corp™‘s latest report, The State of Influencer Marketing in Europe 2025, highlights as one of the biggest shifts in the industry. 

And honestly, it has definitely been working ✨wonders✨ for us at Folio.

Brands are now leaning into longer term partnerships rather than one-off activations where there’s no real connection.

I promise you, audiences CAN always tell when it’s purely transactional🤭…

We also took things up a notch this year by launching our creator programme, the Folio Creator Circle, bringing influencers together as a community where we can build stronger relationships with and prioritise them for upcoming campaigns.

The report is super insightful and as I’m building my knowledge of the influencer space at Folio, it’s great to see how brands across Europe are approaching influencer marketing and how aligned we are with those changes.

Don’t let the year without you adding to your career achievements document… 

I know we’re all exhausted and just waiting for the moment we can finally switch off for the festive season.

But before you do that schedule some time and build on your achievements list.

An achievements list, is a document where I keep a record of everything I’ve achieved in my role. 

Goals, KPIs, objectives, wins, big moments, small moments. You name it.

I try (🤭 sometimes it slips) to update it on a monthly basis, but times get busy and we forget.

So before waving goodbye to 2025 and starting to think about your goals for 2026, take a moment to revisit your achievements list and fill it with everything you’ve done this year, including anything you might have missed.

This is going to save you so much time and so many headaches later on. 

And before we start goal setting, we need to reflect on what we’ve already achieved.

Plus, it gives you a little motivational boost to remind yourself of what an incredible year you’ve had.

If you need a tip on structuring your document, I have mine on Google Sheets with a big table and columns titled: 

Date, platform, achievement/post/campaign, result, notes/evidence/links.

Save this post so you can come back to it in the next few weeks.
